Giants | Rogers visits team
Thu, 12 Apr 2007 16:39:25 -0700

Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports free-agent WR Charles Rogers (Lions) visited the New York Giants.

I think if we could get him cheap this would be a great signing. He might have lost a few steps due to his injuries and such, but he's young and big. I think if he can clean up his act and really buckle down, he could become close to the player he used to be. He's loaded with potential, and if it won't cost much, I say, go for it.

Thoughts?

Why the hell would the Giants waste a pick for a WR in the 1st round (Plus, Jarrett won't even be the best WR left at that point)? There are bigger needs to address with that pick (OT, OLB).

I say if you can get a guy like Rogers for a cheap price, he might work out in the end. He has the potential to be a 30-50 reception reciever that won't just be another #4 mainly used for special teams.

Thats if he can clean up his act as said before.

Far too much baggage here-Jarrett is not that good either.

Eli works great with the big Plax... I see no downside on taking a risk with Rogers.
