Defense absolutely collapsed without Mosley. Did you see the way some of those guys rushed? They either ran into each other or the wrong side of the pocket.

I’m only encouraged from the perspective that it took our defensive MVP to miss the entire fourth quarter and our kicker going 0/2 to only lose by one point. Lots to work on otherwise.

Gase is a pussy. The kicker was the point difference but...the playcalling was absolute trash. The defense did enough to win any game...but...we have a weak secondary and losing Mosley hurt. That's not a good sign. They didn't lose this game IMO. Gase with his OFFENSIVE gameplan!! 2 yd dink and dunks every play. Garbage. He's gotta go. I knew this when we hired him. He did the same bullshyt in Miami. He's garbage. Not impressed with the new GM either. We KNEW we needed to address kicker weeks ago!!

SOJ!! We finally get a QB with promise and we saddle him with a garbage HC and bad GM decisions. Unreal.

The Jets don't have nearly the depth to be a good team this season. Mosley went down and it was over. We don't have a kicker and our starting corners would be fighting to see the field in some defenses. But at least those concerns were well noted and sort of expected...The offensive playcalling though. That was scary bad, conservative to a fault with an O-line that couldn't get on the same page or do anything right. I expect the line to get better as they actually play together but it won't make a difference without some better attacking attempts.

At least this offseason's big investments lived up to billing though. Another draft with high picks to work with and we could be looking to make real noise next year. Right now, even if everything clicks for the starters, we'll always be one or two injuries away from collapsing and that CB position is like placing a ceiling of 6 wins on the team anyway.

It's depressing to have such promising pieces that are completely wasted because we didn't address the two biggest needs on defense this offseason. No edge rush and no CB's...It's also a bad start for Mac's final draft picks, not a blip from them and Q got hurt.

It essentially comes down to Mac and Gase thinking they could replace Myers with Catanzaro at a lesser cost (Catanzaro was decent the year before for the Jets before leaving). Then Catanzaro abruptly retired and the new FO just didn’t address it properly, but now it’s a glaring issue and the difference between us being 0-1 and 1-0. Now we’re going to have to take a chance on one of Walsh, Parkey or trade for someone else.

Ok i've had some time to swallow this loss.
This first game should've been a win! But Jets being Jets :banghead: :banghead:
I was more shocked that we weren't up more going into 3rd but can't believe we lost this.
