In light of Aldon and Sheldon Richardson:

One thing I can appreciate about Reggie's tenure here is his emphasis on and commitment to bringing in character guys into the locker room.

These guys may change over time but for right now, most of his draft picks are coachable choir boys.

So Geno Smith is out 6-10 weeks with a broken jaw from a teammate's punch. Here is what my buddy who is a Jets fan had to say about it:

Saying he was sucker punched implies Smith didn’t throw any punches which I find hard to believe. Most likely he threw some but most of them landed 10 yards past Enemkpali or out of bounds.

Lol!

I would prefer they stay here - I am two stops from Coliseum - but I don't think taxpayers should subsidize sports arenas. If they don't need taxpayer money in LA that's hard to argue with. Raiders were in LA before and Raiders have least local support than Jags or Bolts, they probably make more sense in LA than those other teams. I will still watch Raiders games.

I'm ready to root for the LA Raiders.. whatever. It sucks but Oakland is putting up no fight whatsoever, and that's what's disappointing. A's, Raiders, Warriors all leaving soon.

Isn't it funny how all those studies come out now that saying that Stadiums don't help the economy now that the Raiders are trying to get one built but when the Cowboys or Colts or 49ners were building no one said sh*t. Oh well, I'll still route for the Raiders, no matter where they play. Can't jump to the Niners or Dolts.

Football stadiums are terrible investments - Niner and Cowboy stadiums, I don't believe were taxpayer funded. The beauty of LA (for a team owner) is the financial upside is so good, you don't need to ask for taxpayer funding.

BTW I don't think A's are going anywhere. They're happy to cash MLB checks and play on a literal shytehole.

Taylor Mays is a Raider?

Been quite some time since he and Eric Berry were supposed to be the top safeties in the draft and he fell considerably while Eric berry didn't and turned into a stud.

Asante may be done for a bit. Mays provides depth at backup SS. He also played a lot of special teams for Cinny.

Mays now filling the role we had queued up for Swearinger/Richardson if we had gotten them. I think Asante was a below average backup, not really sure on Mays, but the fact that he's been kicked around for so long is concerning.

Could be one of those late bloomer types who finally turns his athleticism into smarts over time. Wouldnt hold my breath, though.. still, a nice project type of SS.

One year deal. meh. Let the Broncos have their sure to fail SB run this year. All that matters is our development this year. And 6-8 wins would be nice.

I agree with Tayor's role being backup SS and I think they are hoping for more. It isn't costing anything to give it a shot. He really hasn't been kicked around that much drafted by the Niners and then they brought in new coach and he was traded to Cinny where he played out his contract and resigned 2 one year deals.

This offseason he was looking for a new home and playing time. Went to the Viks and they cut him due to being stacked at safety. Signed with Det but asked for release when he didn't get playing time in the last preseason game. He wants to play and he is skilled enough to keep getting deals. Hope he can play a role cuz Dowling Asante and Ross are all subpar in my opinion at SS (Dowling and Ross can play Free) and Allen and CWood are both really Free Safeties.

All of the year 2 QBs had a horrible week 1. Bridgewater's preseason accuracy disappeared.. honestly Bortles looked most impressive out of the 4.

Bridgewater was terrible. Kap on the other hand looked great. He throws better on the move; having him roll out cuts the field in half, but makes him more accurate and it keeps his running threat alive and really sets up the play action. You would think defenses will be able to dial in on their scheme, but they were destroying the Vikings defense.
