DWAYNE HASKINS
QB, WASHINGTON REDSKINS

Redskins coach Jay Gruden declared Washington's starting quarterback position an open competition.

"I mean Case [Keenum] coming off of the most experience is great," Gruden added. "Colt [McCoy] has the most experience with this terminology in this system, and Dwayne [Haskins] was the 15th pick in the draft. We’ll see what happens." McCoy would likely be penciled in as the team's experienced starter if he weren't still rehabbing from a third surgery on his broken ankle. Even If Keenum somehow wins out as a bridge-starter over Washington's invested No. 15 overall pick, his days would inevitably be numbered ahead of Haskins. The rookie will likely open the season as a 22-year-old Week 1 starting quarterback.

MIKE WEBER
RB, DALLAS COWBOYS

Cowboys RB Mike Weber exited rookie camp Saturday with a knee injury.

He'll receive an MRI to determine the severity. Dallas' seventh-round pick following the selection of Memphis' Tony Pollard in the fourth, Weber was expected to start the year as Ezekiel Elliott's primary backup out the gates. We'll have an update when the team announces it.

MARQUISE BROWN
WR, BALTIMORE RAVENS

Ravens first-round WR Marquise Brown (foot) will not participate in OTAs.

Brown is still recovering from Lisfranc surgery. It's a minor concern, but the Ravens are just being cautious here. Lisfranc issues are one of the scariest injuries for wide receivers and playmakers who need to use their feet to make sudden cuts. Along with Brown, third-round WR Miles Boykin (hamstring) is expected to be limited next week when OTAs get underway.

One more reason why Deebo was a better pick than AJ Brown

JJ ARCEGA-WHITESIDE
WR, PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

NJ.com's Mike Kaye notes JJ Arcega-Whiteside received reps in the slot at OTAs.

Alshon Jeffery was not at practice Tuesday, giving the Eagles an opportunity to get depth options more work. With Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, and Nelson Agholor ahead of him on the depth chart, Arcega-Whiteside is expected to be limited to crumbs as a rookie. However, if he's able to pick up the offense as an outside and slot receiver, he could be an injury or trade away from entering into the starting offense.

NICK BOSA
DL, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Kyle Shanahan was unsure about the severity of Nick Bosa's hamstring injury.

Bosa pulled up with a hamstring injury during one-on-one drills at OTAs on Tuesday, forcing the No. 2 overall pick to watch the rest of practice on the sidelines before walking inside alone after practice. The injury doesn't appear to be overly serious since Bosa didn't immediately go inside with the training staff, but it's important to remember Bosa's injury history. Bosa needs the reps after missing most of last year's season, but the 49ers also have to be smart with rushing him back.

I think Deebo is a good receiver but I just think Brown is better than him.

Last year I thought we should have gone Derwin James round one and Dallas Goedert in round two. This year I think we should have gone Bosa or Quinnen in round one and either Greedy, Metcalf, or Brown in round two.

Haha. Well, that should quiet down some of the Bosa naysayers.

DWAYNE HASKINS
QB, WASHINGTON REDSKINS

ESPN's John Keim said Redskins coach Jay Gruden is using OTAs "to see if [Dwayne] Haskins will be a serious competitor in training camp for the Week 1 job."

Reports from Washington's camp regarding Haskins' early progress have been positive -- his accuracy and football IQ are strong -- but this competition between Haskins and Case Keenum will drag on up to Week 1. Gruden previously talked up Keenum's experience with the terminology of the offense, but Haskins should start the most games in 2019 and should be penciled in as the projected starter for the season opener against Eagles.

N'KEAL HARRY
WR, NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, Patriots first-round WR N'Keal Harry has lined up at "multiple spots" during OTAs.

Harry has also gotten reps as a punt returner. He's drawn rave reviews from Brian Hoyer, who has served as the Patriots' first-team quarterback with Tom Brady absent. Coach Bill Belichick has also been complementary of Harry, describing the rookie as a "smart" player. With Julian Edelman locked in at slot receiver, Harry will almost certainly play outside for the reigning Super Bowl champs. Still, it's good to see the Arizona State alum showing some versatility.

RYAN FINLEY
QB, CINCINNATI BENGALS

The Athletic's Paul Dehner reports fourth-round rookie QB Ryan Finley "looks bad" at Bengals practices.

"There’s just no way around it," Dehner writes. "It’s still early, but not so early that we can’t begin to wonder what the hell is going on." Finley was believed to be a reach when the Bengals took him at No. 104 overall, and his play thus far hasn't alleviated those concerns. Finley is probably safe to make the roster barring a preseason blowup, but he might not pass Jeff Driskel.

The only thing that I even kind of liked about our fourth-round pick was that the Bengals gave us two six-rounders to move up a few spots and take Finley. So thanks for that, guys. At least they didn't trade up to the third for a guy who would get beaten out handily by a UDFA....

JOSH ALLEN
DL, JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

Jaguars DE Josh Allen (knee) is expected to sit out mandatory minicamp.

Allen was sidelined for most of OTAs with his knee issue. It's not a long-term concern, but the Jaguars are playing it safe. Allen should be fully cleared for the start of training camp.

I’ve been away for a while, sorry if I’m missing the obvious, but could you please/elaborate on that.

GARRETT BRADBURY
C, MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Vikings assistant head coach Gary Kubiak said Garrett Bradbury will start at center.

After finishing the pre-draft process as one of the safest prospects in the class, Bradbury was selected with the No. 18 overall pick. A versatile player in college, there was some discussion about him playing at guard, but he's worked exclusively at center thus far. Bradbury's presence, whether that's at center or guard, is an upgrade to this Vikings offensive line that ranked near the bottom in the league last year.
