SKYY MOORE
WR, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Skyy Moore (hip) returned to practice Wednesday.
Moore took an awkward fall in practice on Tuesday and left with a hip injury. Shortly after, he took to Instagram to respond to a video of the practice rep with, "I'm okay." Moore was back at practice, looking unencumbered by the issue while returning punts a day later. The Chiefs have a massive hole to fill after trading Tyreek Hill, and Moore is a large part of their plan. If he can earn a starting spot with a strong training camp, Moore could push for WR3 numbers as a rookie.

Re: 2022 ROOKIES
KYLE PHILIPS
WR, TENNESSEE TITANS
TitanInsider.com's Terry McCormick reports fifth-round WR Kyle Philips has been getting reps with the first-team offense as the slot receiver.
The Titans have one of the weakest wideout rooms in the league, and things are wide open behind veteran trade pickup Robert Woods. First-rounder Treylon Burks has had a better summer than spring when he missed a bunch of time with conditioning issues, but snaps and targets are still up for grabs. Philips was a slot machine at UCLA and showed short-area burst with his shuttle and three-cone times at the Combine. Titans WRs coach Rob Moore said Philips has "earned" his reps with the starters. Nick Westbrook-Ihkine and sophomores Racey McMath and Dez Fitzpatrick are among the other Tennessee receivers competing for snaps.

ALEC PIERCE
WR, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
The Athletic's Zak Keefer reports that Colts rookie WR Alec Pierce "has been with the starters from Day 1.
Keefer notes that Colts HC Frank Reich "mandates that each receiver knows each position (X, Y and Z)." Meaning, in addition to the physical challenge of taking reps with the first team, Pierce is being asked to learn a complicated playbook at a rapid rate. If he can live up to his coaches' high expectations, the second-round draft selection has a chance to make an immediate impact as an outside deep threat.

Re: 2022 ROOKIES
JELANI WOODS
TE, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
The Athletic's Zak Keefer reports that rookie TE Jelani Woods "is probably coming along a little slower than the team would like. He’s looked lost at times."
Keefer also notes that second-year tight end Kylen Granson struggled with drops in the spring and hasn't flashed much so far in camp. Both of the young tight ends have gotten some extra reps with veteran Mo Alie-Cox out of practice with a tweaked knee. Alie-Cox returned to practice Tuesday and looks set to operate as the Colts' No. 1 tight end to start the season. As Keefer puts it, "behind him, the Colts have a lot of questions at the position." Woods is a truly special athlete who ran a 4.61 with a 37.5-inch vertical at 6'7", 253, but he still looks to be getting his feet under him in the NFL.

Re: 2022 ROOKIES
ISIAH PACHECO
RB, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
The Athletic's Nate Taylor reports that RB Isiah Pacheco "will start the preseason as the primary kickoff returner."
Kick return duties would be a big win for the seventh-round rookie, as that role would not only secure him a roster spot but keep him active on game day. Pacheco has already earned first-team reps at running back in camp and appears to be off to a fast start in his NFL career—fitting for a player who ran a 4.37 40 at 5'10", 216. His rise imperils Ronald Jones, who offers a similar two-down speed profile, behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon, but no special teams ability. Pacheco is firmly in the mix as a deep league dart throw.

Re: 2022 ROOKIES
ISAIAH SPILLER
RB, LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
The Athletic's Daniel Popper notes that rookie RB Isaiah Spiller "continues to play primarily with the second and third teams."
Popper reports that the first team reps are going to Austin Ekeler, Larry Rountree, and Joshua Kelley. However, with pads now on, Spiller's "physicality is starting to pop." That physicality is a big reason why the Chargers drafted Spiller in the fourth round. Rountree and Kelley have disappointed as compliments to Ekeler; it's likely that Los Angeles wants Spiller to step into that change of pace role. For the time being at least, they're making the rookie earn it.

Re: 2022 ROOKIES
IKEM EKWONU
T, CAROLINA PANTHERS
ESPN's David Newton writes that "there's still a reason [Ikem] Ekwonu is far from winning the [left tackle] position."
Ekwonu has largely been playing inside while second-year lineman Brady Christensen gets the first-team left tackle reps. "He's got a long way to go,'' Matt Rhule said after practice. "He gave up a huge sack there at the end. I'm not super concerned with the run-blocking, it's the pass protection he [needs to] continue to develop." Rookie offensive linemen do not often burst on to the scene, and the early returns on the Ekwonu pick are that he will not buck that trend. At least not at left tackle, anyway.

ROMEO DOUBS
WR, GREEN BAY PACKERS
NBC Sports' Peter King believes fourth-round WR Romeo Doubs will "have a prominent role early."
Echoing what Aaron Rodgers said earlier this week, King said Doubs has "shined" during training camp. With Christian Watson on the sidelines, Doubs is getting reps with the first team, and every indication is he's making the most of those opportunities. His ADP is sure to rise as these reports continue to come in, but as it stands, he is an outstanding late-round target.

Re: 2022 ROOKIES
VELUS JONES
WR, CHICAGO BEARS
NBC Sports' Peter King believes the Bears have "big intentions" for third-round WR Velus Jones.
Jones was a late-bloomer in college with only one real year of production, but King said the rookie has "hit the ground running," although he did caution there is a long way to go before Week 1. Chicago's receiver depth chart was one of the worst in the league even before Byron Pringle (quad) and N'Keal Harry (ankle) went down with injuries. The Bears have little choice but to use Jones, making him a late-round dart throw.

KAIIR ELAM
DB, BUFFALO BILLS
The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia writes that first-round CB Kaiir Elam "has been a consistent target throughout camp."
"There have been a lot more bad beats in the open field than there have been flashes," Buscaglia added. There could be a three-way competition for a starting corner job between rookie sixth-rounder Christian Benford and third-year player Dane Jackson, and Elam has not performed up to par just yet. Many rookie cornerbacks struggle in their first season. It's a slight dent in the armor for Buffalo's highly-regarded D/ST this year.

ISIAH PACHECO
RB, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
NFL Network's James Palmer reported that seventh-round RB Isiah Pacheco "had some run with the 1s again" in today's training camp practice.
The Pacheco Express has picked up steam this week with Clyde Edwards-Helaire always getting the first rep, but Pacheco more or less splitting time with Ronald Jones. He's planted himself firmly on the fantasy football radar this week. Preseason work will be revealing, and it shouldn't surprise anyone if he has a role in this backfield right away.

KENNY PICKETT
QB, PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Kenny Pickett is listed as the No. 3 quarterback on the Steelers' unofficial depth chart.
Yikes. The assembled Steelers and national media have begun to take for granted that Mitchell Trubisky will be the Week 1 starter, but it's obviously concerning that No. 20 overall pick Pickett still hasn't shown enough for the coaching staff to ceremonially name him the No. 2. Aug. 6 depth charts don't mean much, of course, but it's the time of year for head games and Mike Tomlin and company want Pickett to know he still has a long way to go. Pickett is looking like something of a wasted summer flier in two-QB and superflex leagues.

MICHAEL WOODS
WR, CLEVELAND BROWNS
Browns sixth-round WR Michael Woods will be sidelined "some time" with a hamstring injury.
This could hinder the Day 3 prospect's odds of making the 53-man roster, though the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports the Oklahoma product has been the "No. 1 standout among young players in training camp." Woods has apparently displayed "good speed, hands and toughness." Be that as it may, he is a name for only the deepest of Dynasty leagues.
