And there it is. Absolutely fitting end to Jimmy's 49ers career. And Kyle is on the wrong end of a historic come-from-behind playoff win yet again.

Honestly, this team completely overperformed in the playoffs. We didn't really deserve to win any games this postseason. That offensive collapse was incredible. Special shout-out to Jaquiski Tartt. Thanks, bud.

Terrible db play, no run game, poor pass rush, poor qb game. Should not have been as close as it was. Oh, and weird play calling.

Rams had no timeouts and down 10 in the 4th Q...sounds familiar. Kyle S will never be a winner

Offense has been so bad the last two games. Can't wait for Trey next year to hopefully open it up more

Agreed

The entire team crumbled after Tartt butterfingered that INT. It could have sealed the game, instead it crushed the 9ers spirit and sparked the Rams

I'm looking forward the Trey Lance era as well.

But it could get kinda bumpy to start, the kid is so green.

Yeah, next year likely to be tough regardless. But it's time.

Yup, big games with double-digit leads in the 4th quarter.

Both OL and DL got dominated this game. So maybe that's why he kept running into the line because he didn't trust the OL and Jimmy.

Once they tied the game, the Rams just dominated the 49ers OL.

As far as I'm concerned, it's all on Shanahan and Lynch.

We can talk about the play calling but it comes to player personnel.

All those squandered draft picks. Think the 49ers could have used more help than to go with the guards and RT they had?

Or get more out of their 3rd round RB or all those WRs that they drafted and missed on?

He had to run Samuel out of the backfield in the second half of the season. Yes he's made big plays but they never developed him as a downfield WR because of that.

Truth may be, with his short catch radius, he may not develop into anything special for even the intermediate routes that Aiyuk does better with.

Problem is, he's going to keep missing on draft picks and offseason moves because he made it to the NFC championship game.

He's a tier below championship coaches.

We can hate on Jimmy all we want but I don't expect Trey to be much better with this line and the kind of plays Shanahan runs.

He doesn't develop a timing passing game or make the QB execute it enough. That is why when they need a big drive from Jimmy and that OL, they finally were unable to deliver it.

There's going to be a couple more years of frustration and then maybe the ownership will realize that we won't get over the hump with Shanahan in charge.

Yup, it is

Despite the popular sentiment, Garoppolo did this franchise well. And he'll leave them some nice parting gifts via a draft pick from a trade & a pile of cap space.

But, its now #Treyarea time

As I posted below.

The Facons collapse, the SB collapse vs. Chiefs, this game.

When things get tight, he has failed to deliver.

Ownership probably won't figure this out for a couple more seasons.

Meanwhile, he gets to **** up a couple more drafts.

Some real questionable play calls, and some calls got in later that led to some to false starts. Maybe need to let the OC make the play calls

1000% Agreed.
