I really hate that we keep kicking McCaffrey out to that position where he is 7 yards behind the line of scrimmage, and also isn't a threat to run the ball. I don't get it. At least have him moving in a motion, if he's going to be that far from the line of scrimmage.

Yup, not even using him as a decoy makes it a lot easier for the defense

****. Have I mentioned I f****** hate that alignment for McCaffrey? Maybe once or twice a game with some deliberation. We do it all the time, and it never seems to work out.

Sure, looks like a block in the back.

Okay D. You're going to have to carry the offense for a bit.

Kyle has to be setting something up for later but it is frustrating

Defense needs to show a lot more intensity and tighten up this time. Letting GB gash us in the running game sets up everything for Love.

Hopefully that ugly 1st possession was just a rust issue. It looked clunky and mechanical. No rhythm and confidence out there

That's pretty close. Given they just laid out our wide receiver with a clear hit to the helmet, figured they might let that one slide.

Not that there wasn't contact there, but I like how they call that and miss the helmet to helmet on Deebo

Return to San Francisco 49ers
