The one position group I have yet to do a deep dive on is RB.

What's your thinking on Murphy over Newton and Cooper at the top of LBs?

Murphy is more of a freak. Newton is smaller. I like both. But Murphy I think has more upside.

Cooper has range but he also closes fast. Great blitzer. Very good along the line of scrimmage. I like Wilson as well, but the lack of durability is why I have him lower.

on that note that's most peoples pick:

https://www.seahawks.com/news/2024-mock-draft-tracker-10-0-what-will-the-seahawks-do-with-pick-no-16

still think we trade back to the end of the end of the round and pick up a 2nd.

Fautanu's stock has really taken off since the combine.

Another name to watch for is Graham Barton.

I also think it's a very real possibility that they take a Right Tackle. Especially with the uncertainty of Abe Lucas & his long-term health. The rumor is that he could have a degenerative knee issue.

If that's the case, Amarius Mims would be at the top of my list.

Mims
Fautanu
Fuaga
Barton

Those would be my four names to watch.

Matt Miller (ESPN) seems to have fairly reliable sources within the team. He was told that Witherspoon would likely be the pick for Seattle.

Byron Murphy is the name to watch for with them this year.

What we're hearing about the Seahawks' draft: The hiring of Mike MacDonald as coach shifted how we view the Seahawks' needs, but one constant has been at defensive tackle. The Seahawks re-signed Leonard Williams in free agency, but sources with the team reiterated to me this week that No. 16 is the floor for Texas defensive tackle Byron Murphy II. Murphy's first-step quickness and power are ideal in the 3-technique position and would boost the interior pass-rush skills of this defense. -- Miller

Do you have guys that you dislike? Any names from that list? Just in general?

I don't care much for Spencer Rattler. He's probably the one guy they've shown interest in that I somewhat dislike.

Do you have a favorite??

not so much that I dislike but just surprised at trade up QB interviews when it seems they could have chosen other people and also that there is some idk who the hell they are DTs on there (but cool I'm sure this squad knows what they want) without having Braden Fiske in. Same with LBs but that might be just stating they are looking at mostly 4th round or later LBs.

My favorite non 1st rounders would be Colson, Sweat, Jenkins in that order.

at 16? trade back off of anyone on that list and try to pick up a second, but maybe Murphy in the 20's.

I think if Murphy is sitting there at 16, he's the pick. No trade back.

I get the sense that guys like Fautanu & Fuaga will be taken earlier & won't be options.

Do you trade back & take someone like Barton? Darius Robinson would fit the scheme. But I think he's a late 1st/early 2nd prospect.

I would love to trade back and get a 2nd.

late round could be Cooper Dejean, Barton, I still think Murphy could be there
