After the Titans open the season with a 17-7 home victory against the Jaguars, they will hit the road to face off against the 0-1 Bengals. The last time they met was in week 12 of last season with the Titans gettin their butts handed to them 35-6 in the loss. It's a new season, clean slate, it's time the Titans return the Bengals the favor.


HISTORIC RIVALRY

The Titans have been involved in more games against the Bengals than any other opponent in their 49-year history. From 1970 through 2001, they played at least twice per year as members of the AFC Central Division. In 71 all-time meetings, including postseason games, the Titans lead the series 38-32-1. The Titans and Bengals met in Week 12 of last season (Nov. 25) in a game the Bengals led from start to finish. They pulled away early, and led by Chad Ocho Cinco’s three touchdown receptions, they won 35-6. That ended a five-game winning streak by the Titans in Cincinnati.

The titans rolled to win #2 today by the score of 24-7. Kerry Collins did solid today so I'll give him some props. Bullock not only blocked the punt return against the Bengals, he recovered the ball for a TD. Justin Gage caught a pass from Collins and was able to reach out for a TD and LenDale White bulldoze his way to collect his TD today. For the Bengals, another nightmare Sunday for them. They are not in sync at all with injuries and inconsistancies roamin over their heads like dark clouds on a stormy day. The Bengals nightmares turned to paydirt for the Titans as they prevail in week 2 with their first road victory this season.
