Laynce Nix has been on a tear lately down in triple A. As of last night, he had hit home runs in 6 straight games (don't know how tonight went). Bad thing is that he's only hitting .266 with 90+ strikeouts. Any chance we give the guy a shot in the bigs?

Nice. If we were the Diamondbacks we probably already would have called him up since they are in need of some power (although he is kind of a redundant player with Young). I don't see us calling him up because we already have enough power strikeout guys that have a few more years of experience under their belts for the playoff run.

I hope not. The last thing this team needs is another low OBP guy.

How much longer do we have him signed for? Any chance he could take Kevin Mench's spot next season? or is that between Gross and Gwynn?

"a long, loud strike."

add that to BA's overused phrases.

Don't forget the ever so annoying "hot one on the ground."

I missed most of this game so how has Dave Bush looked so far?

I see he hasn't allowed any runs, which is very good for him.

Like his stuff so far. Hitting his spots real well which is what he needs to do to succeed. Keeping guys off the bases for the most part until last inning. Dodged a disaster when a homer went just foul from Drew but can't complain the way our staff has looked as of late.

That being said I am holding out until after the 6th or so to make full judgment on him.

As Rickie and Billy go...this team goes. Great to see these 2 guys heat up.

Weeks could be a key down the stretch. We've got virtually nothing from him for 3/4 of the year, any production is a bonus.

at this point, i'd be happy if he was willing to fold towels in the locker room.
