while I'm hopign this is just precaution b/c of his previous injury history and the bad weather (says on MLB.com that its raining...), I reall ywish he would have stuck it out in this game. Sweeping Chicago a tWrigley would have been huge for this team and sent a statement to the rest of the division. But, as is his custom, Sheets goes down and now we have to watch the game and the sweep go up in flames....

Yeah, I hope they're not giving Dessens a longer leash because they feel like they need to justify the trade.

can't be doing that this year...i hope ned follows the trend and doesn't let it go any further. i was not happy to see him make the opening day roster over capellan, and i'm sure he wasn't either...this guy specifically.

Oh well. Two out of three yet again. I'll take that every series.

Not really upset over this one. I'm mad that Benny is a big baby, but other than that, I'll take 2 of 3 every series.

Maybe makes the way for Gallardo? And a 15 day DL visit.

I am glad Ben didn't "man-up" and keep pitching, I don't want him making it worse by playing through it. It's a long season and he would have pitched like crap w/ a strained groin. If he misses his next start, I might change my tune, but I think it was a precautionary deal.

I'm sure ben will be fine. We will be fine too. You will have games like this throughout the year, i'll take 2 out of 3 every series. Let's win in houston.

No Cubs fan ever expected, realistically, to see Prior this season for the Cubs. Regardless, ironic how Sheets gets injured the same day...and against the Cubs.

He strained his groin. Yost just didn't want to put him back out there because of the conditions, he's fine.

I have a strained Groin right now as well. It does hurt like a B!atch but it heals pretty quickly. I highly doubt Sheets misses more then one start. He will probably even be ready for his next start.
