After 13 seasons in the NFL. Ravens QB Steve McNair has called it a career. His 35 yr old body had other plans. " In your mind, you feel like you can play, that you can compete. But when your mind and your body are not in accord, it's not going to work in the National Football League", said McNair. Out of his 13 yrs in the NFL, McNair played 13yrs with the Oilers/Titans. He made a name for hmself there. He got to the Super Bowl game despite the loss. He shared MVP honors with Peyton Manning in 2003 for having the best accurate passing rating. Ravens' LB Ray Lewis had great memorable duels with McNair before they became teammates. "There is no greater warrior or player with a bigger heart than Steve McNair" "He came into this game and gave it everything he had. He now can walk away with his head held high.", said Lewis. McNair's way of playing the game and his class will be miss from the league and by the fans. Steve, thanks for the memories. Good luck to you in the post NFL era and thx for playing with the Titans.
