Whenever the Titans are not in training camp practicing on plays, they are in yoga class stretching their muscles to keep them loose.
After two solid weeks of the grueling training camp schedule, the well-conditioned bodies of the Titans are fatigued and aching. “At this point in camp your body starts to feel sore,” explains Titans first-round pick Chris Johnson. “The icing and the hot tub help but you still are hurting a little bit.”
This sentiment is not limited to the rookies within camp. As the upright arms gradually swing and bodies shift weight as they contort to the side, the view from the back of the yoga class is cleared and Titans veteran Kyle Vanden Bosch can be seen front and center. “If there is one thing about training camp, it’s that it is hard on your body,” notes the eighth-year defensive end. “With the schedule we’ve got, you start to neglect stretching and getting your muscles loose again as camp goes on.”
