Is that every high school basketball jersey in California thing real?

It doesn't take 3 years to build a stadium right?

If this joint is ready by 2023, can we break our lease and play in it for that season?

Love how mad this makes Laker fans.
They can front all they want. The Buss family is a proud family and they will not take kindly to playing in the 2nd best basketball venue in Los Angeles.

I've been saying the same thing for the longest. The money that Ballmer could make by opening Intuit a year early as opposed to staying in Staples under that horrible lease would far outweigh any buyout number that AEG would be asking for.

Dr. Buss is up there being so thankful he didn’t have to compete with Ballmer all those years.

I think it is possible for stadium to be complete by September 2023. However, that doesn't make it likely. Ballmer and Clippers would surely like to have it 100% complete and ready from Day 1. Also weather could have an impact like it did to Sofi stadium. A major rain event this winter could easily add 3 months to construction timeline.

It's easy for me to say because it's not my money, but I would like to see Ballmer purchase the facility and use it youth training camps open to all and not to a select few high school players. Pro teams should spend more money on developing talent and ease the burden on the taxpayers.

Which narration? The one after the accident that led to Kobe's death?

Another $300 million in sponsorship money. As long as Intuit doesn't have a problem with it then it's all good.

You really see why Ballmer wants this new arena. Not only do you carve out your own niche and get out of the Laker shadow but with $800 million in sponsorship money plus all the suite, cabana and parking revenue that will be coming in, you can see how it pencils out as well.

I wonder what the final bill will end up being, with the cost of building materials skyrocketing over these past few years. That $2B estimate will probably be closer to $3B.
