Why does everyone want the ship motif so badly? You saw how the current Clipper logo looks ambiguous, and Sterling was just copying the Lakers ever since he bought the team just so he can be loved. I don't mind the ship logo for nostalgia's sake - maybe it can be a special edition - but they need to come up with a logo that instills perseverance, confidence and will.

For the historical record: The Lakers were already the NBA gold standard. Donald couldn't duplicate that but he made a profit every year with his skinflint operation and laughed all the way to the bank. He thought all those owners happily losing money chasing a title were fools.
Jerry Buss tipped him off to buy the San Diego Clippers for the pitiful price of $13.5 million. Sterling brilliantly took advantage of loose NBA corporate rules and promptly moved them to Los Angeles. Forced to sell over a bull**** scandal over a leaked private conversation with his mistress, he raked in over $2 billion, the best ROI he ever made.

You prefer that he wasn't forced to sell, that he's still the owner of the Clippers?

You seem to be implying that his ouster wasn't legit.
Or a result that Clippers fans shouldn't want.

Just spent 8 days at home with my parents.
Brought wife and baby Quake to hang with her grandparents.
Spent time in Inglewood.
Never once drove by this place.
I’ll be back before the end of the year.
