Most anticipated Clipper game in years. I'm betting Harden will be more low key and will be in distributor mode. Hopefully he runs with the 2nd unit mostly and uses his gravity to help the role players get easier shots. Westy should run with mostly starters and facilitating for Kawhi/PG13.

Clips going small ball with Kawhi/PG13 is the right move. It's not like there are a bunch of bruising PFs that can consistantly punish them physically. Although in the long run, do need a legit PF sized player to step up or be traded for. Big physical teams will crush the Clips in a series.

Harden also shouldnt be playing heavy mins, ideally i'd limit him to around 24-26 mins and slowly ramp him up, since who knows what his conditioning level is like nowadays.

Really sucks that Mann is still hurt, really need him to develop chemistry with the stars. He can be an ideal glue guy, who defends 1-4 on all switches, hits open corner 3s, and be a secondary playmaker off Harden?Westy drive penetration kick outs.

Maybe they'll appreciate him more if he joins the party late. This could work out well.

Mann is with the team on the road trip and may suit up before it's over.

Knicks board seems to be unhappy about Julius Randle and are willing to lose tonight.

On another note , I remember when Harden left OKC and accepted a 5 yr 80 million deal with Houston. He wanted to be the main man on his own team. He has had quite a career but now he returns to California. 1000 strippers and parties later.

I think with Ballmer being the owner, Ty Lue being the coach and teammates who have been league MVP and Finals MVP - he should realize the opportunity he has here and not screw it up.

The general board is having a good time saying every one needs the ball but I think they can make this work.

By who, Harden fans? I doubt the majority of Clippers fans are taking off from work early to catch this game.

Just another regular season game with a guy they acquired via a trade. Harden couldn't do it as the #1. He couldn't do it being the #3 or the #2 in his prior stops. He had played with other superstars since the Chris Paul trade and Harden still crumbled under the post-season pressure.

Now, he is the #3 or #4 option. At this point, people aren't worried about the stats he can put up. We care that he doesn't lay down in a Game 7 and we care that he he plays some actual defense and isn't a liability on that end. We care that he doesn't shoot us out of the game. We care that Ballmer isn't an idiot and waits to see how Harden performs in the playoffs before trying to sign him long term.

No idea what to expect. How silly to be nervous but here I am.

No matter the lineup or rotation there’s no excuse not to play hard.

Mann gave an update on his injury and says he hopes to play on Wednesday.

Sadly, we're going to be forced to overpay Harden no matter how he performs after how badly Frank got fleeced in that trade.

This is not even true, I think both Kawhi and PG are clearly even better when set up/ assisted- catch and shoots, pin downs, cutting, all of it. They are both very skilled players who can score in multiple ways. Our offense tends to get bogged down late in games when they just iso.

Can you name a more anticipated regular season game since we landed Kawhi and PG (I.e. years…)?

Very open shots though. Wait 'til they start dropping.

Now that's a brutal 5 out there

Zu
Harden
Powell
Tucker
Hyland

If Ty can get this to work, the rest is gravy.

game feels really weird. clearly they have no feel for each other as starters.

weirdest thing to me is paul george deciding "ok now that i have westbrook and harden BOTH feeding me passes, and i've been playing like an mvp all season not doing weird stuff like trying to pass or dribble too much, i'm just gonna go RIGHT BACK to that"
