Pretty much. Other than Roy these guys were their 2nd/3rd unit team. LA only played 7 minutes tonight.. It's impossible to tell what team shows up each night.

There was no second unit outside of Blake.

Blake
Rudy
batum
Outlaw
Joel

We loss to the guys behind the second unit after Webster got the late foul he never did anything else.

I might call Webster a guy on the 2nd unit. I think they were starting Batum at the beginning of the season? Webster hasn't been the same since his injury so I think he's been coming off the bench. Either way, we stunk.

When healthy the Blazers depth chart looks like this

Miller/ Blake/ Bayless
Roy/ Rudy/ Mills
Batum/ Webster/ Cunningham
Aldridge/ Outlaw/ Pendergraph
Oden/ Przybilla/ Howard

So yes, we had 4 of our 5 3rd string guys out there tonight playing serious minutes. Dont feel too bad though, we beat Dallas, SAS, and Miami on a 4 game road trip (4 games in 5 nights). Dont know how we're doing it, but I wont complain.

See you guys again in about a week. Hopefully you guys get Griffin back soon. We Blazers fans understand not having your prized #1 pick all too well

Kaman needs to focus on defensive assingments and when to rotate and switch. He has huge troubles deciding. Just glanced over the highlights and you see him nearing a shooter after a switch towards the 3pt line, leaving his own man (Pendergraph) wide open in the lane. Even if Baron would decide to switch to the big man, it would leave a huge size disadvantage (even though Baron does quite well bodying up bigger players). It's just a small thing, but if Kaman would get a feeling for defensive assingments, he would be so much better. I don't have anything to complain about on the offensive end this season. That's where he stays focused. So far.

Also, good to see Eric Gordon break out a mini slump. Thing is, you're never worried about him. He stays focused, keeps playing hard. Him and Griffin will both be focused hard working players. I think they'll have a great influence on the team. Even wqhen not putting up numbers you wont mind seeing them on the floor. Guys like Kaman, Thorn, Sual and to a lesser degree Telfair are annoying and useless when they lose composure.

Same ol Clippers, i guess...

After beating the Celtics they go to Portland and get outworked by an undermanned team.

That just shows you, that we won't be a playoff team this season.

+1

It's really not a surprise anymore when this happens. It just won't be the Clippers without a major upset win, followed up by a loss to an undermanned team. I remember this happened earlier this season when we lost to the Pacers without Granger.

Return to Los Angeles Clippers
