Hey, I was somewhat of an Oakland A's fan back in the late '80s. Back then I figured that it was OK to pick one American League team to follow and appreciate as there was no such thing as interleague play. Of course if they ever would have met in the Series... well let's just say that I would have been begging for "Wild Thing" Mitch Williams to throw a 96 mph fastball up near Canseco's steroid inflated melon.

OK, seriously, I don't condone throwing at a player's head. I didn't mean that.

Ok fine... yes I did.

I like how Coffey sprints out to the mound.

Todd Coffey looks like he consumed too much coffee with that sprint in from the bullpen.

nice...Its the unusual suspects (Lilly, Izzy and Derosa) getting it done for the cubbies today.

Lilly looked real good, nice to see DeRosa coming through already.

Arroyo was tough.

Yeah, Arroyo had some mean off-speed speed stuff working tonight.

I expect to see Murton pinch-hitting if he hasn't all ready.
