Do they use the zone read often?

Not nearly as much as they should...

O-Line wasn’t good last night. Debate it how we will, but they were just not good.

Micah Prescott wrote:Solid win...offense struggled but IMO Dak played a very solid error free game....the main struggle was:

Tony Pollard 15 carries, 30 yards, 2.0 ypc

I think Pollard might be done. I think his injury did him in.

His 60 yard reception was nice, but I think old Pollard scores a TD there. He got caught from behind.

I wouldn’t say it was error free. Turnover free yes, but he did make a couple of mistakes. Overall he was good enough.

If the Cowboys are going to make a trade, trade for a TE.

I still think they need a RB too. Pollard is solid but he’s not a #1 RB. He’s much more effective in a RB by committee. But yea, TE is a need too.

Pollard is flat out not Pollard any more. He fractured his leg. It was a serious injury for a runner. And I don't think he'll ever return to form unfortunately.

This team can not run in-between the tackles at all.

Last night running in between the tackles was basically just a loss of down.

Yeah, Pollard's production in running the football is not enough.

I don't know how the Cowboys are going to approach the lack of production of TEs and RBs this season.

But one thing's for sure, if the Cowboys can run the football consistently, their offense will definitely get better.

We need more TE,s on the line to help the already hurting Oline, and more running plays designed to limit the amount of time they have to block. This could be brutal.

IMHO we have more issues on the O-line which is why I wanted another O-lineman and/or LB in the second round rather than a TE.

Hard to believe the O-line has issues when the starting 5 is supposed to be one of the best in the league.

Well, the Chargers game was a pretty graphic display of those “issues”… particularly inside the tackles.

Tyler Smith is amazing, (although not his best game vs SD) but the rest I think might be overhyped on previous seasons. I can see Zack Martin currently PFF's #17 overall Guard (Tyler is #2 overall)

Tyron Smith is PFF #22 overall Tackle, he is obviously far removed from his prime.

So basically we have 1 really good lineman

Tyler Biadasz… not sure how PFF ranks him nor do I care. He wasn’t good Monday night.

Yeah, I saw the game, but what I'm saying is it's hard to believe the O-line is not great when there are great names on that O-line.

The good news is I believe there's still time for the Cowboys to improve and peak at the right time.

But there has to be a trade coming because this roster is lacking some pieces.

I believe one of the years Eli and the Giants win a ring they started the season 3-6 or something and then snuck in as a WildCard and just got hot at the right time. That's what needs to happen here, just random post season magic.

As far as a trade....I keep looking at Kyle Pitts, who is not even the #1 TE on his own team and desperately wants to leave. I wonder if the Falcons would take next years 2nd round pick for him.
