Lets hope this isn't one of those injuries that hangs around too long and we can get him back out there soon. As someone who also likes the Bears, I can tell you that you REALLY don't want to have to rely on Rex Grossman as your starter for any real period of time.

Hopefully McNabb can stay healthy.....which I'm not so sure given his age.

Yeah, that can often be a risk when you trade for or sign older players.

While I am not a fan of vets playnig much if at all during the preseason, I do think McNabb will need a more than usual amount of snaps given the fact that this is a new team, system.

Jets are notrious for their blitz schemes so it's best if McNabb sat this one out.

That's a good point. He's probably OK to play if he wanted to or if we needed him, but as you said, it's probably best to not but him in that situation and give him the game off.
