Im really glad they decided to start Smoltz early in between starts especailly since he didnt go that long in his last start bc originally I was saying why the hell arent we pitching our aces in one of the biggest series of the year.
As one of my favorite Quotes from "The Program" says:
"Let's open up a can of kick ass and kill 'em all, let the paramedics sort 'em out."

And you no doubt recognize everyone who didn't play against Perez.
Never said I didn't. I was responding to:
Who are these guys?
Anyway, this should be one hell of a series. A lot of drama and nail biting. But it would appear that ALL of the pressure is squarely on one team to sweep. Hmmm, I wonder which team that is
You guys have a rough road trip coming up. Should be make or break. You all must be looking forward to it - I know I am. Time to see if the first 9 games were just a fluke or if the Braves are clearly the better team...

Hate to burst your bubble but the rotation was announced as Perez, Maine and Hernandez. I know you didn't really think we'd throw Lawrence in such a statement series, did you? Anyway, we look forward to being "finish[ed]" off. It's gonna be wild, crazy, and raucaus....
Tell the New York Mets website that. I'm sure it's going to change, but as of right now it's listed how I have it, so it's not like I just created it.

Anyways, not sure how 3 games prove 9 games to be a fluke, but whatever...
...and I never said that you never that I never said that you never said - ah forget it. I'm a fan of the game - I'm well aware of who Tim Hudson and John Smoltz are.
Anyway, this whole "fluke" argument isn't rocket science. If your team wins 9/12, they're clearly the dominant team, no? On the other hand, if you get swept in humiliating fashion during the next three games, well....
Enjoy the series fellas. May the best team win

Yes, but that would go along with the first 9 games, so it wouldn't prove anything to be a fluke, except maybe your division championship last year.

...the seasons series would be tied 6-6. Again, not proving anything is fluke, just proving that the teams match up better than thought previously.

but Perez didn't see this lineup with Teix, we don't have Edgar but they don't have Beltran so kinda evens out.
we take 2 of 3. possible sweep depending on Carlyle.

We do play better against the good teams. We have a winning record against everyone in the NL over .500 except Arizona, but I expect that to change when they come to Atlanta.
6-3 against the Mets
5-4 against the Phillies
4-3 against the Dodgers
5-4 against the Cubs
5-2 against the Padres
2-1 against the Brewers
4-2 against the Rockies
The NL is ours if we stop playing down to our competition.

The Mets have said that they are scared of us, and I see us taking advantage of that. Big time, let's go Bravos!
Yeah...LETS GO BRAVOS... TWO OF THREE..SWEEP
That rhetoric really helped before the Reds series....oh wait...
