Giants march straight down the field, converting several third downs, Eli making throws, Plaxico and Smith making big catches; and at the end Jason Taylor ends up looking like Herman Munster while Eli bootlegs for a TD.

Rough start to the Jim Zorn era, and that Jason Taylor trade is already on the hot seat.
Bye bye Beal.

This does not look like a playoff team. Not on paper, not in preaseason and not now. The Taylor trade was just stupid.

It's a new coach, new offense, and they're playing the Super Bowl champs in their house, Dat.

This probably should be an ass whoopin'. (But the spread's only 4 points, go figure.)

I think Taylor's hurt. They probably should sit him down.

EDITED-- what IS discouraging is the way the defense has regressed big time. Getting smacked down left and right.
Bye bye Beal.

Oh, Lordie this looks like an ugly year...

Dat, this is for you: "Put Colt Brennan in at QB!"

Honestly, I think he's going to end up taking some snaps this season...
Bye bye Beal.

Who knew Durant Brooks was our secret offensive weapon?

He has outgained the offense in the first quarter!

KId takes a helmet to his gonads and the Skins get conservative and go three-and-out, and he's out there kicking again.
Bye bye Beal.

OK, I know I said 9-7 earlier this week. I wasn't talking about the total offensive output by thishere West Coast Offense!

Right now, the Skins remind me of Hawaii's football team going up against the SEC, the likes of Georgia and Florida.

Washington's playing confused and scared. They don't look like they belong at either end, and it's lucky they're just down 10 so far.
Bye bye Beal.

If this gets much worse, that may not be a bad idea!

I hate to say this but this team just has all the characteristics of a 3-13 or 4-12 team. If things start off slow this season, I think this team will lay down and quit. There's no Joe Gibbs around to rally the troops anymore.

I see no real offensive weapons. Campbell processes things too slow to be effective in the West Coast offense, The offensive line is old. Portis isn't an explosive back anymore. Santana Moss is a dog. Randle-El shouldn't be a starting wideout. The rookie wideouts have done nothing.

This team is in bad shape.

Well , watching this it's clear, EJ needs to be fired.

Ball hit Smoot in a bad place, right in his hands.

Note Madden's and Micheal's silence there. They like the Champs.

BTW - I don't think John McCain needs to worry about viewers distracted by this game at 10:15p.

Also, I just heard Al Michaels say that Cerrato apparently bad mouthed the Giants Defensive Coordinator (I forget his name), basically saying he was not head coaching candidate they felt comfortable with. Of course only after the DC backed out of the coaching search on a gut feeling (smart on his part). This goes to the lack of class and character of Cerrato. He couldn't have just kept his mouth shut and said the right things. He just had to run his mouth. The problems with the Skins start at the top. It starts with Snyder letting a souless bastard like Cerrato run football operations and run this franchise into the ground.

Realistic Question - Will the Giants have to punt at all tonight? Doesn't look like it so far.
