NBA Playoffs Western Prediction Round 1

Post#1 » by SlimShady83 » Thu Apr 13, 2023 4:31 am

Even though only 1 play In game remaining I don't think anyone really cares about them, so why not get predictions under way for "ROUND 1" ONLY...

Round 1 game 1
Denver vs OKC OR NOP ... ... ... .. Edit: Fooking wolves WON LOL

If it's vs OKC I can see them going to game 7 and surprise Denver
NOP I think Denver takes them In 5 games

Round 1 game 2
Suns VS Clippers

This series gonna be close and comes down to who's healthy and playes their best
I'm going for Suns In 6 games but secretly hoping Russ wins series haha - keep that on the down low

Round 1 Game 3
Kings vs GSW ...
Honestly this coming down to who can shoot the lights out vs each other, who gets hot first.
GSW In 7 close games

Round 1 Game 4
Lakers VS MEM
Honestly I can see Lakers winning this In 6 games because of experience and a few players due for a few good games. But If this series goes to a game 7 I think Mem will prevail In a close exciting game.
My Personal Top 10 all time
Jordan, Russell, Bird, Duncan, Magic, Kobe, Curry, Shaq, Kareem, Bron

Top 5 will always be the same, 6-10 will change from time to time :)

The Lakers can win this in 5 or 6 games at the most

All I'm concerned with is the Lakers. Couldn't care less anyone else.
I'm feeling a bit out of sorts with this matchup. Memphis is a bona fide top team in the NBA. I don't think we should all be too confident we'll win 4 out of 7; just take it one game. That's in front of us.

Can lakers really beat Memphis this Sunday in Memphis? I've been listening to some media scouting reports and they all say Memphis should be able to handle lakers offense readily as we're not really a 3pt threat and we only do well in transition offense.

I feel the opposite is even more true. We can handle them defensively in the half court, but I worry about their fast breaks. They have a lot of eager young legs, and I don't trust Ham to have an urgent gameplan against that until we're 0-2 :(

MEM ranks second best in the league in transition points, while LAL ranks fourth worst in opponent transition points. This spells disaster unless we focus our gameplan on it. Every single shot we put up should be viewed as the beginning of MEM fast break oppurtunity. Besides Shroeder and Vando, I don't have faith in our other guys to lock in on getting back to D right as every shot attempt goes up.

Thats what I'm saying. This ain't no walk in the park. This is a true 2nd seed 7th seed match up.

Honestly the two first round matchups I've been most worried about were MEM and PHO.

I think our best shot is game 1. We need to win this game to have a realistic shot.

I'm concerned the team is going into this too confident. Too many turnovers and jacked 3pt bricks this team and we're one toothpick away from another ad disaster so this team better stay humble, play with urgency, don't take anything for granted and just look at the quarter they're in. One quarter at a time. Look at it as not a 7 game series but a 28-quarter battle.

I did not see the Wolves winning the 2nd game, kudos

They gonna get wrecked by Denver and probably a sweep or Den In 5

Everybody and their mothers are predicting a Lakers series win. Me, I’m staying cautiously optimistic and quiet AF that we may or may not pull it off.

I really want to say yes but I voted undecided. I think I'll have more faith if we make it past the first round.
