Nick Nurse.

Not a fan of Ham at all, but I'm afraid that our unlikely run to the Conference finals has bought him at least one more season.
It's a shame too, when so many really good coaches are now available.

S&T D Lo for anything

Sign a Veteran PG (sort like Heat's Kyle Lowry's role, where they can either start or provide meaningful minutes)

The core is good, need some tweaks.

LBJ is another year older, LAL need to start thinking about life after LBJ.

trade dlo, #17, and LeBron for Lillard, sharpe and #3, #23, #43

He just proved that he doesn’t have what it takes to take a team all the way. No time for amateur hour. Give us a leader who will hold players accountable. D Lo’s defense has cost us an 0-3 deficit. If we see it and he doesn’t, sorry. Thanks, coach Ham. Next.

If I'm a betting man that 17th pick is getting traded. I'm not sure how it works with S&T with Beasley - can the 17th pick be traded after July 1?

We all know Ham is not going anywhere but you’d think after what Murray did in the 4Q of G2 that LAL would have a game plan to not let him get going early. The whole 1Q in G3 he had wide open shots it was mind blowing how flat this team consistently has been to start every game and they continuation of coming from behind all series long. Such a shame because all three games were winnable but now they are down 0-3. Let’s see if they force a gentleman’s sweep.

If you're feeling bad about your coaching situation, come watch a Celtics game. I'm sure it'll pick you up a little!

(Funny to have two rookie coaches in conference finals, both having their issues)

My view on this offseason

- First priority:
Reaves ( Gibert Arenas Rule)
MAX
2023-24 $11,368,000

2024-25 $11,936,400

2025-26 $36,850,000

2026-27 $38,525,000

Total $98,679,400

Rui: 15M per year for 4 years

- Second Priority:
Loonie Walker / Schrolder: MLE for 2 years

Dlo: 15M per year for 2 years
(I would not pay more than 15M per year to Dlo. Rui is playing much better than him. No way Dlo earns more than Rui)

Third Priority
- Garbriel: 3M for 1 more year with early birds right
- Troy Brown: Vet Min or let go

Others
- Re-working on Bamba's and Beasley's contract. Each with no more than 6M per year for 2 years

Free Agency:
Stanley Johnson with the Vet Min.
TJ warren can be considered. The second year returning from injury usually will mean better condition

Roster:
AD / Gabriel / Bamba
LBJ / Rui
Vando / Stanley Johnson / Troy Brown
Reaves / Max Christie / Beasley
Dlo / Schrolder (Loonie Walker)

Active contract in 2023-2024
LeBron James PF $46,900,000
Anthony Davis C $40,600,080
Jarred Vanderbilt PF $$4,698,000
Max Christie SG $1,719,864

Total Salary for 2023-2024 Season : Approx 167.78 M

Is it realistic? We still need to add a potential 17th pick and Vet mins. Some maybe let go and some may have higher salary e.g. Dlo and Rui like both getting somewhere around 18M / year

Dlo is good in the regular season. Look for opportunity to upgrade from him in the trade deadline or in this offseason maybe. No need to rush or let go. He may have cost him money in this playoff run.15M is something I would offer and treat him as Role player rather than 3rd star. His ball handling, passing and shooting made him fit so well with James and AD. We all see his weakness in this playoff esp in the series against Denver. Thinking if we have Conely in the post season rather than Dlo, we may have already won 2 games in this series. It will be very difficult to find another attainable young player fit so well with Bron and AD while giving you good defense. Fultz maybe?

We still need some big man on the PF spot though and hopefully Christie can grow to a competent rotation player which I see it very possible.

I wouldn't mind trading Beasley for a useful piece or even let him go. I would like to give Banba a chance though.

AD and Vando have to work on their offense. If AD has a better footwork in the post and a go to move like sky hook to let him consistently attack and Vando adjusting his shooting mechanics to become a borderline decent shooter, i like our chance next year. Look for possible upgrade like this trade deadline eg Dlo and Beasley for Rozier etc

Finally, fire Ham and get us a good coach. His obsession with the 3 guard line up stints me.

Regarding DLo. The Warriors dumped him. Minnesota dropped him. So there's something there We know now why
But we should lean toward a stronger defensive team. Vando must be included. Most coaches are defensive minded coaches, and AD and Vandy would be formidable. The rest I'm interested to see what Pelinka does

Hmm so Reaves gets almost $100 million but Rui gets only $60 million?

Curious to see the market for both.

There will be some shotmakers in free agency, the strongest probably being Kyrie. But Lakers wouldn't be able to sign up everyone else whose contracts are up. Mavs can't let him walk so they will max up Kyrie, though he has a history of walking away so who knows he might walk away from Luka towards LBJ.

Rui is getting paid from 15-18M i guess? 20M maybe a bit too much. Wouldn't be surprised if he really get such a big offer.

Reaves contract is assuming another team max him out as a poison pill.

I am curious at how Pelinka deal with Dlo, hope he surprises us again. Dlo is pretty helpful in the regular season while being a big net negative in playoffs due to his playinf style and limitation defensively.

It will be difficult to upgrade the current roster. See if we can get a good young guy from #17 or trade it along with Beasley and/or Dlo for a good 2 way player. Dlo's trade valie may be re-up before trade deadline next mid season. A 15M deal is a reasonable one to keep him for some more time.

Curious at the free agent signing as well

Well speculation is that the Lakers will match any offers for Reaves and Hachimura since they were among the best performers in the playoffs.

It would be quite a departure for Jeanie Buss, since they let Caruso walk for nothing rather than pay him $27 million, I think it was?

Caruso still had a huge impact for the Bulls this season.

But maybe Jeanie learned her lesson.

Hope she cares winning more this time.

Who could we target if we let both Schrolder or Walker walk? Both are good guards. I like them both. But is there anyone fit even better than them in the free agency with the MLE?

The Lakers would have to find a team that wants the pick and Beasley and once they find the team interested they would have to draft a player on that team's behalf and then the trade goes down during draft night.

Signing Reaves and Rui would help. Although they have to teach Rui how to secure rebounds, instead of ping-ponging it to the opposing team.

They should definitely let Vando and DLo go if possible. Neither could be trusted in the playoffs.

Keep Lebron and AD. Maybe add players like Mikal Bridges, Kunminga, or OG.

Ever since KCP left there's been a soft spot in the 3&D department. If you can't get the lights out spot up shooter, at least find someone with solid perimeter defense.

Kyrie fits so well on the lakers

Having kyrie we can basically tell AD don’t worry about scoring at all your job defense and rebounds

Kyrie worry about scoring

Lbj everything else
