First opponent Timberwolves.
HUGE TRAP GAME.
This is a trap game if there ever was one.
We can't be caught standing around.
We have to win this game.
DO NOT LET Timberwolves JUMP TO A BIG LEAD in first half where we are playing from behind. We DO NOT WANT TO BE FOUND WITH OUR THUMBS UP OUR BEHINDS.
LEBRON AND AD ..GO GET THIS ONE

Denver I have a strong feeling the basketball gods are advancing them past at least the first couple rounds ... no matter who their opponent is.
Don't get cocky.
B-gods love punishing overly cocky teams and fanbases.

Re: ATTENTION AD & LEBRON (TRAP GAME)
Certainly a trap game.
We won the last meeting, but it was KATs first game back, and we were actually getting outplayed until the third quarter when AD got hurt for a few minutes, coincidentally because the Lakers seemed to rally in energy/effort and the Wolves took their foot off the gas.
It's not the best matchup for the Lakers by any means, compared to the Pels without Zion. Gobert can hold his own against AD, and Towns is a poor matchup for Lebron, both size wise, and because of his shooting ability. He's also too big for Vanderbilt, so I would want to see Rui actually get the start instead of Vando. Edwards is a problem, and he'll come out firing. We could put Vanderbilt on him in the later parts of the game, but Reeves needs to step up defensively to prevent a hot start.
The wildcard factor is the shenanigans the Wolves had today, with Mcdaniels getting hurt and the Gobert/Anderson altercation. Mcdaniels getting hurt is obviously good for us, as he's their best wing/Lebron defender, and now they either need to start the game with KAT on Lebron and Anderson on Rui, or the opposite. Either way, there is a mismatch there that we need to capitalize on, and that's another reason why we should start Rui.
As for the Gobert thing, assuming he isn't suspended for by the Wolves (unlikely considering the importance of the game), or by the NBA (also unlikely as it was an internal team issue), he will come out fired up, without a doubt. AD needs to outsmart him, instead of trying to go through him. Utilize your fakes, absorb the contact, and stay one step ahead of him mentally, and get him in foul trouble early.

Nah Vanderbilt is the one that it's going to defend Edwards he did a good job the last game on him. Lebron should step up then. He has a body like Hachimura he can defend down low Towns because this is not a good strong post player. With those two matchups being locked the chances of the Lakers to win grow.

Lebron had a big game though. Yeah the eye test says otherwise with his flippant passing.

He was 1 for 5 in the first... He was 5 for 6 in the second though... But still, he did most of his damage in the second half... He didn't look great for the start... Which seems to be a theme for him in big important games.

Remember the malone/Stockton teams in 97 and 98 postseasons where they would be trailing the Lakers by 10 points all the way up to and through the 3rd quarter, and then they would turn it up and beat us eventually...I'd like to think lebron is methodically doing that to conserve for that late game push, but unfortunately I think we're just trailing because we're trailing and just getting lucky in the 4th.
