I’m 4-0 in game threads so I figured it’s best if we win today!

: We won the second half of Game 1 by 12 points. Let’s put up 48 minutes of that intensity.

If we’re close to tied or in the lead by halftime, this game is ours. Big game needed from Reaves, Walker IV, Rui!

My boss is very convinced the Lakers esp Lebron didn't bring their full effort to win game 1 vs the Nuggets and that they will more serious in winning tonight and the next games. I hope he's right.
James has lost many game 1's before, treating it as a "feel out game" but his teammates this year had a different mindset.
Game 1 vs the Grizz, Lebron just scored 21 pts but Rui and Reaves stepped up big time.
Game 1 vs the Warriors, just 22 pts from James, but Schroder and Russell combined for 38 points to win it.
Then boom James brought it, dropped 30 vs the Warriors game 6.
James did had a good stats game vs Denver but it's not like he was super upset after the defeat.

I expect Malone to run plays for the guards to probe the paint early in the shot clock. I’d be surprised if Jokic plants himself as high up at the three point line as in game 1. Expecting a deeper post up starting position for him on most plays tonight. We must guard the three tonight!

The Lakers can probably be expected to improve their rebounding and overall defensive strategy in tonight’s game. I expect the winning score to be in the 100s or 110s which spells a Laker win. I expect LeBron to assert himself some more tonight. He needs to be reminded that the shooting motion is one motion. His shot is mechanically off right now, he thinks too much and doesn’t bend his knees enough.

AD. Better bring it! No games off in this series, or we’re dead. Roam, play the best help defense you ever played! Rebound like you own the ball.

Rest of team: play your hearts out and make your open shots.

The Lakers and James have a history of using the first game as a feel-out game... I think they were surprised to be in a position to win it... That said, I don't like that strategy... Will Joker have as good a game tonight? I doubt, it but maybe... They could shoot better... But we have tons of improvement we can make on Defense...
So, who knows... I wouldn't be surprised if we low-key dominate this game... I also wouldn't be surprised if we tried to dominate, the wheels come off and we end up getting blown out...
It's not really a must win, but it sure would be nice to even it up and set the tone coming back to LA...

DLo will have better games for sure... Will Ham finally **** the midget death lineups? who knows but that'll be key as well...

I think I'm... 4-3 in Game Threads now. But every time we lose, I refuse to do the next game. :rofl:

I'm way too superstitious.

If we have any chance of winning the series, we have to win tonight. If we lose, I still think we can make this a 2-2 series after 4 games. But, I don't think we'll win the series. Not having Games 5 and 7 at home are so difficult if you're the lower seeded team and you fall behind 2-0 in a series.

I love D-Lo, I really hope we extend him, but he needs to come off the bench. If he starts, he has to be stronger and more aggressive at the point of attack defensively. Reaves as well. He was much better defensively in the second half in Game 1, let's hope he continues that.

Schroder/Reaves/LeBron/Rui/AD - with D-Lo, Vando, Walker off the bench. I so badly want to give Beasley or Troy Brown another opportunity if D-Lo's bad and Vando is meh.

Games with huge implications I get really scared I can't watch the game for some reason. I need to go do something to keep my mind on something else. I dunno...kind of like Jerry west had the same issue I think. He wouldn't watch the game as a GM, he would roam the halls of the Forum and Staples.

With Vando starting, D'lo HAS to have a good game. We need his offense.
