Mavs (9-5) @ Lakers (9-6) 11/22/23

For whatever reason, I've had this game circled on the calendar. May have something to do with my strong dislike for KI, but also admiration for Luka's game.

The Mavs have had a strong start to their season, but have lost 2 in a row. They've also had two full days of rest.
The Lakers have won 3 in a row, but played last night.
Thankfully, LBJ had less minutes last night than in the previous several.

I suspect the game will be almost playoff level intensity.
It has all the makings to be a shootout but the Lakers have to focus on getting stops on at least one of the Mavs big 2.

And we can't let Hardaway go off on us.

AD has to exploit the middle as much as possible, and not settle for outside jumpers. DAL is ranked last at defending the paint.

Reddish has been our best point of attack defender but he's been ruled out which is a big loss for us tonight. Christie will get more minutes.

Let's go Lakers!!!

Christie is too nice. Love his defense.

He’ll get big minutes and might even start at SG before the season is over.

Love his jump shot. Tough to say it but at times his high release form almost reminds me of a young Kobe jumper…
NBA titles since the merger: LAL 11, CHI 6, SAS 5, BOS 5, GSW 4.

Painful loss.
Very frustrating second and third quarters followed by a miraculous 4th Q comeback, just to fall short because of missed free throws and a terrible turnover at the end.

In any case, I like what I am seeing in this team. If everything stays the same and we get Vando and Vincent back soon and into the fold, we will be contenders.

Hope all of Laker fam had a great Thanksgiving!
