Well looks like he is staying after being confirmed by Rich Paul.

I dont know why anyone thought we would trade Brown. He's either leaving in FA or he's retiring when his contract ends.

I’d welcome Marcus Smart if that rumor is true.

unorthodox trade...

gabe would probably be valued by Miami most... so check it:

trade gabe, c. wood, and prince... for Kevin love (this will give us almost a 15 million trade exception and allow us to absorb a contract from a team that's trying to have a fire sale, or a team that has a crazy payroll)

trade with Golden State for kuminga, give them a unprotected first round pick as well, and absorb his contract. I believe this will save them close to 40 mil. with all their taxes and penalties.

If that doesn't work...absorb tyus jones, or delon wright, or bones Hyland, or obi, or Caruso (with pick), or olynk, or Gafford... for free

Two deals and a pick-up:
#1: JHS+Gabe+future first (protected) for Dorian Finney-Smith and Dennis Smith Jr.
Why? With Vando out for perhaps the rest of the season, i think they should focus on Dorian Finney-Smith. Defensively a downgrade from Vando, but a massive upgrade offensively.

#2: Hayes + Lewis + 2 future 2nd rounders for Andre Drummond.
Need a legit big to back-up AD and in case we face Minnesota and/or Denver in the playoffs, we need someone to protect the rim, while AD defends Joker/KAT.

#3: Pick up Kyle Lowry on buy-out market.

PG: D’Lo – Lowry - DSJ
SG: Reaves - Christie
SF: DFS – Prince - Vando
PF: Lebron – Rui - Wood
C: AD – Drummond

If we can do Gabe and 2nds for Tyus Jones, that would be solid and we kind of need to move D’Lo if we don’t wish to risk losing that salary slot. Dejounte would ve a solid get as a deluxe version of Schröder.

Russell isn't opting out unless he has an outstanding postseason or he gets demoted out of the rotation.

Both scenarios are unlikely,so it's far more plausible that he opts in. Also, based on the trade market, he's not sniffing anything more than MLE money on the open market.

It shouldn’t be impossible to get good return for D Lo in current offensive form, now when he’s under a fair and not too long contract. Vincent and Christie can share his minutes. Add Hayes and a second and go shopping.

D Lo's trade value is much higher than earlier in the year because of the offensive spurt he is showing.
Truthfully, he is a positive asset for us right now the way he is playing.
Under the appropriate system, he would be a great bench and role player.
Problem is that our coaching staff has not figured out how to effectively "hide" his defensive liability.

Austin Reeves and D'Angelo are comparable to the bog Brothers they both lack defense but are assets due to their offense

I feel like if we make trade it will be due to injuries that our players will take long to recover from (6-8 weeks) and more likely jeopardize our season. If our team is fully healthy in 3-4 weeks, do we really need a trade?

What's out there? We are stuck. Our moves should've been during the off season. And we gave up Schroeder for a guy who has been unavailable. Now we can't defend the Top side

I just want a small deal at least, that involves gave Vincent... even if it's for expiring contracts to have space next year

gabe and a pick (or Gabe and one of our young guys not named hood)for ...miles bridges or Schroeder or tyus or Royce and Lonnie...or sexton

A pick, as in that very valuable '29 FRP? who can they realistically acquire who can actually move the needle and make them legit contenders? Caruso? Marcus Smart? Dorian Finney Smith? I like Royce and I don't think Ham wants Lonnie who barely played here even when he was hitting his shots.

I'm going to be upset if we don't get 1 of the following:

- Alex Caruso
- Dorian Finney Smith
- Kyle Kuzma
- Bruce Brown

On a smaller scale:

- Royce O'Neal and Lonnie Walker
- Delonte Wright
- Dennis Schroder
- Kelly Olynyk
- Andre Drummond

would love any of...
Caruso and Drummond OR O'Neal and lonnie for Gabe, cwood and 2019 FRP (unprotected)

would be ecstatic for Kuminga or for cwood, cam , and 2019 FRP (unprotected) ... or Lauri and sexton for Rui, AR, Gabe, and FRP (Unprotected)

best realistic trade...
Gabe, Cam and FRP 2019 (unprotected) for Miles and 2 second round picks..... flip cwood and the second round picks for Drummond..... and sign Lowry after buy out.

Agree. As long as Lebron is playing as well as he is (which is crazy) i think they have to go all-in.

I dont think Bruce Brown and Kuzma are realistic. Too tough to get money to match, so D'Lo would have to go, which isn't worth it.
Bulls should be rebuilding, but since they poorly run, they're going for the playoffs and Caruso+Drummond are good for them.
Olynyk is good for the Jazz who also are going for the playoffs.

So...
Dorian Finney-Smith for Gabe+JHS+pick. That'll keep us afloat until VAndo is back.
Then pick up a few buy-out-guys to round out the team. CP3, Lowry, Delon, Hayward etc. would be ideal.
