I'd like Brogdon, especially together with Thybulle. For the sake of fun:
Rui+Russell+JHS+Christie+1st for Brogdon+Thybulle

Lineup:
Brogdon/Vincent
Thybulle/Reaves/Lewis
Vanderbilt/Reddish
James/Prince
Davis/Wood/Hayes

We would maybe repeat getting swept in the WCF...

The problem is that we can't get them without probably trading our one and only pick and I value that pick very high. The reason is that this team is going nowhere: We won't win another championship with Lebron and Davis. And if we accept this, then the best strategy is to start accumulating assets for the future.

I'd evaluate all our future targets with the criteria if that target can be part of a potential contender's starting five in 2026-2029. People like Anunoby can, Thybulle maybe, Brogdon definitely not (due to his age).

lauri is available for reaves

would we consider a Vincent, reaves, wood, Rui trade... for lauri, Clarkson, walker?

No Lauri is not available for Reaves.

LaVine rumors. I would not trade away the farm to get LaVine.

Reaves and Rui provide more perimeter and post defense (despite the poor coaching) than he will. Big for small, bad idea.
NBA titles since the merger: LAL 11, CHI 6, SAS 5, BOS 5, GSW 4.

we will not entertain a deal for loving that involves reaves. he is obviously not very tradable as many teams are not jumping on that deal, especially with his new contract.

At most, I would trade hey Rui, D'Angelo and Gabe for lavine and Drummond. they don't deserve even a pick in that trade.

I do believe that we can bring out the best in your home with LeBron. He can run the floor well and has a incredible athleticism to catch lobs.

What are the chances that Bulls game was an audition?
Caruso and DDR have played great, telling Rob “hello there, this is what you are getting if you trade for us”
Meanwhile D’Lo sabotaging everything by telling The Who whole league that he is trash and they are crazy to acquire him in a trade. Pfffft 2 freaking points .

The most I’d give up is Russell, Wood, Hood-Schifino, Vincent and picks for Lavine. Christie and Rui stay. Lebron new PG and backup will be a PG who gets bought out.

Salary doesnt add up. We need to be within 3 mil - 37 mil going out.

Rui+DLo+TP/Gabe basically our only two options.

Sending TP brings back 3 mil extra salary >>> Lakers officially out of 2023-24 buy out market.

Please, let’s not! That’s way too much defense to give up for LaVine.

Pass for me. The guy is completely washed, can't even get to the regular rotation in a team, where there are only 2 forwards (who, by the way, used to load manage a lot).

All that ^^

Wizards are the team with multiple affordable options for us -

Defense with passable shooting -
Kuz
Delon Wright
Gafford

Shooting & secondary playmaking off the bench without a hint of defense -
Shamet
Gallo
Muscala

None of this(except Kuz) should cost more than some second rd picks, and cheap Jeanie might be save 1.2 mil in the trade to completely avoid the tax

Trust me you don't want PJ, he didn't take 1 shot the majority of the games he played on the Clippers. There is a reason young guys and rookies are getting minutes over him now.

although it's unlikely.

as much as I love reaves.... I would pull the trigger for DeRozan, Caruso, Drummond.

Caruso can fil the void of reaves ( a little less offense, but much better defense).

I'm tired of hearing that Derozan wouldn't fit. He is an aggressive and unselfish player who is mature and has a great mindset/attitude.

Drummond is a big man that we need.

gabe/dangelo/reaves ... for Derozan, Caruso, Drummond, we get better defensively, without losing size!

Caruso/Derozan/LeBron/AD/DRUMMOND against big lineups...

Caruso/DeRozan/LeBron/Rui/AD ... against all other lineups

I know my Wizards trade above is very unlikely, unless they rebuild, in which case they’d keep the players I listed. I wouldn’t mind Kuzma back either.

I doubt we’ll get Drummond without giving up Rui.

Yea. Too bad there's zero chance the Wizards would do it.

Is this more realistic? Would you pull the trigger on it?

https://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/7928723

D Lo, Wood, Reddish, Vincent for Tyus, Kispert, Gafford.

They need size (Wood), defense (Cam), shooting (Vincent), playmaking (D Lo).

We need perimeter defense and lower turnovers (Tyus), 3PT accuracy (Kispert), low post help for AD (Gafford).

As Vando gets healthy he covers for the loss of Reddish. I prefer Hayes over Wood, don’t think we need both. Vincent and Tyus is perhaps a draw or better for us and D Lo is someone who can help them offensively until his $17M contract expires.
