Lakers also don't own their 27 first from the Westbrook/D'Lo trade.
Due to the Steipen Rule, they can't move 25? 26, or 28 as well.

Utah owns this pick unless it's top 4, then Lakers keep it.

So... the short version is that we have an ancient "star" who doesn't seem to care, a younger, but very fragile player who is also fragile mentally and then a bunch of filler. So, the only way to trade our way back to relevance is to pull on a complete theft with Davis.

It's gonna be a rough second half to this decade.

Gone off topic a bit but who cares? :) ... I'm all for trading AD, having him as number 1 option post Bron gonna be laughable, but as I stated above as long as Lakers keep Reaves I'm happy, because he my fav Laker :)

I should have said we HAVE to trade our way back to relevance because we've traded so many picks. The ones we can trade are going up in value every day... which is good. There! Does that put us back on topic? :D

I like Reaves but he's the kind of filler that can move a needle on a great trade. The problem I see is that the NBA is going into a mid-70's sort of era where there are no true "all time players" in their prime. Bron is the last of the breed at the moment. So we're going to see a different champion every year is my guess. The league is evening out and the best talent isn't the "gap" it once was over the next tier.

A good and balanced team that understood that you can shoot 3's but also lead the league in the paint could do a lot of damage right now.
