I am going to have to defer that question to Tony. He walked me through a diagnostic process to pinpoint where the problem could be. When we determined it was a code 16 he pointed me in the direction of the problem and there was won wire/plug that was not plugged in all the way. If that has anything to do with the Z unit then...

I honestly dont know what the Z unit is ?
Sometime though different manuf might use different terms for let say a control unit , but as far Phils problem .
To my understanding with the code we scanned , it came up to be an EGR Actuator which basically opens and closes vaccum pressure to the EGR valve .
And according to him when we searched for the hoses , he found the by pass hose discconected and we rset the system and now he is going through the adaptation process .
So if Phil has been driving the car for more than 50 miles or so and the light hasnt comeback on yet then I think were okay at this time .

But let me know the status Mang ............
