SoCAL24 wrote:Recent Movies I've seen AND recommend

Trade (great)
Borderland
Dog Soldiers
Kite Runner (great)
Dog Day Afternoon (waited too long to see this one)
I Am Legend
Atonement (didn't get past the first 30 minutes)
We Own the Night
Dan in Real Life
Before the Devil knows your dead (very depressing , but good)

Worst 2 movies of the year for me
Penny Dreadful (starring maculay culkins ex wife, Rachel Miner)
Tidelands (disturbingly bad)

If you liked Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, try The Savages. I liked Dan in Real Life, too.

I also liked Reservation Road, and Gone Baby Gone.

I was somewhat disappointed in Lars and the Real Girl. Lions for Lambs, Resurrecting the Champ.

Those are the movies I've seen the last couple weeks.

Has anyone seen a fight or a sporting event at the Home Depot Center there in Carson? Are the sight lines good?

Where exactly will it be?

In the main stadium?

Ive never been to a fight there, but I can tell you that its a great view regardless of where you sit. I was it the furthest seats up at the XGames 2 years ago, and I had no problems seeing anything.

Someone recommended Lions for Lambs, but I'll wait for a critic's opinion on it. :)

It will be inside the main stadium.

I am just asking for future reference. I have been at fights at arenas and sometimes it is just better staying at home and watching the fight or event at home. It is one thing to see a basketball game at Staples from the nosebleeds and it is another to see a fight from the nosebleeds.

I was thinking about going to the Oscar fight this coming week, but too many things are coming up and I wouldn't be able to stay with my ex over there.
