I could not find it, but theres a great throwback pic of Pippen doing the same thing. Not sure if it was against Kobe, but Pippen was one of the defenders back in the 90s that did the very same.

You mean Shane should know Kobe is immune to the face guarding technique by now.

Are you kidding Tee? If Shane's face guarding was the only thing keeping Kobe from dropping 60 every game.

Shane does a good job of making sure it doesn't swipe the opposing player in the face. I could never do that haha

Actually I think regardless whos defending him...more times than not he misses shots he normally hits...i wouldnt credit the defender too much. Shane does do a great job keeping kobe infront of him. But honestly now...kobe made alot more shots with shane's hand in his face than previous years. The best kobe stopper is himself, you would just have to cross your fingers he has an off night at this point. Imo the best way to slow him down is to work your ass off with ball denial.

wow, i guess the original poster doesnt know much about the NBA. go check out some old laker vs. spurs stuff. bruce bowen did that repeatedly. over and over again. and even before that its a prevelant type of approach to guarding good shooters.

but this aint new to shane and kobe. kobes been there done that.

Kobe is best in the world at countering anything you throw at him, he adjusts on the fly asap....just like that rainbow shot he threw over lebron.

Agreed.

I was joking about the 60 thing...that's the best thing about Kobe, 60 could have been taken serious. I knew I should have gone higher.

Kobe has learned that Battier still can't guard him.
