Offical 2013 Trade Deadline Thread

Post#1 » by Nolan » Tue Apr 2, 2013 4:38 pm

Deadlines tomorrow, we've already had a few big deals go down but we still could see a very active deadline.

Canes active, getting Marc-Andre Bergeron from the Lightning. Sending Tampa Bay a 7th round pick and giving them back aDam Hall whom they waived a month ago. Think it is a good deal for Carolina.

Clowe to the Rangers.

This trade deadline is already better than the past three it seems in terms of activity. Theres gonna be no one left for tomorrow though.

So far biggest deal of the day is Ben Bishop to Tampa for Cory Conacher and a 4th. Great deal for both teams, Bishop is solid and just needs a chance to show that he's a #1 and he'll get that in Tampa. Conacher's a small speedy scoring forward that's going to fit in nicely in Ottawa.

And things are starting to heat up.

Apparently Gaborik to the Blue Jackets and Jason Pominville to the Wild.

I don't like what Tampa Bay had to give up.

Pominville to the Wild is a great move for them. He was the BPA on the markey in my eyes/

Maybe Gaborik can pick things up again in Columbus.

Good trade deadline towards the end.

I'm a big fan of Conacher but Bishop has some legit talent.

I hope he's traded, it's about time to give the reigns to Schneider.

Canes just traded Jussi Jokinen to the Penguins for a conditional pick. Hate it as a Canes fan. Hate it with a passion. Jussi was one of my favorite Canes.

Conacher is small, speedy, skilled forward. He's probably going to be pushed around a lot, and in playoff hockey, oh boy. Plenty of skill though. Good trade for both sides.

Sounds like the Caps and Preds are making a trade. David Poile was supposed to address the media 15 minutes ago but they're in "lockdown" at Bridgestone Arena according to the Preds beat writer.

Edit: Sounds like Marty Erat for Filip Forsberg. In love with that deal for the Preds if true.

Love that deal for the Preds. Latta is more of a 3rd line tough guy who will get you dirty goals in front of the net. Forsberg is a legit top line talent.

And Erat is a pretty average top 6. Dont know why Washington does this deal. I guess they're just trying to get into the playoffs.

Yup that's still an unreal deal for the Preds.

I like seeing the Sabres stock up on draft picks.
