And yeah - as soon as I posted last night I thought to myself "Crap - I forgot about McDavid". He's great. The fresh blood in the playoffs this season is going to be fun. Especially if the Flames and Oilers would go ahead and take out the Snarks and *ucks (my hate flows).

I'm like you - really thought Seattle was going to get a team. I still do. It seems like a natural market and with Vancouver across the pond, even more so. Which reminds - learn to hate Bettman. He makes Goodell appear lovable. We don't refer to him as Buttplug and/or the Evil Dwarf lightly.

I've heard Bettman is like a David Stern clone. :x

Seattle is still trying to get an arena pushed thru. The city has a bunch of idiots running it.

I guess my choice of teams is down to the Blackhawks & Edmonton (up & coming). I plan on watching a bunch of playoff games. :D

It really is the best time of the season. Especially when you have a team to root for.

Quick note about Pekka Rinne. And - this is with Jake Allen playing great (0.936 playoff save percentage);

  • Pekke Rinne is at 0.953. He's playing out of his mind.
  • His career average is 0.917. In other words, he's given up 11 goals in the 8 games.
  • Statistically, he should have yielded 19; 8 more goals in those eight games.
  • Four of the seven wins have been one goal victories for the Predators.
  • In the 7 wins, he's stopped 204 of 212, or 96.2% of shots.

Blues fans are shaking their heads. Rinne is absolutely spectacular right now.

Of course. I've never been accused of being a "cut-n-run" fan. And as my only dog in this hunt is the demise of your heroes... plenty of time.

Heck - it's to my advantage for the Ducks to win. Hope they don't.

If I didn't have an East Coast meeting in the morning that required me to get up at the ridiculous time of 5:00 AM, I would certainly be on line awaiting whatever outcome occurs. As such, I shall be playing Twitter catch-up tomorrow.

I'll be around tomorrow. At some point. Like I said - I don't cut and run.

Sounds like your heroes put a can of whoop on the Oilers in that second period from my reading this morning. Dominant.
