NHL.com - Dale Hunter has stepped down as head coach of the Capitals.

Washington was eliminated from the playoffs by the Rangers in Game 7 on Saturday.

Hunter went 30-23-7 as head coach of the Capitals.


Well I can't say i'm suprised he left but at the same time I kinda am because of all the sucess he had with that team. He brought them within one game of the conference finals and that a lot further than many people though they'd make it.

So who's next for Caps?

I'm surprised he left London to begin with. He certainly makes more money there.

He looked so unhappy in nearly every game behind the bench.
