First trade of the offseason (TB/NSH)

Post#1 » by trwi7 » Fri Jun 15, 2012 9:55 pm

Anders Lindback, Kyle Wilson and a 7th for two 2012 2nds, a 2013 3rd and Sebastien Caron. Love this deal for the Preds. Tampa gets to keep their own 2nd but give up Minnesota's (37) and Philadelphia's (50).

TB gets their future starting goalie perhaps, nice. I thought they would go after Bernier or Schneider though. two 2nds and a 3rd is a nice little haul for Nashville

They may not have gotten the best young backup goalie, but they certainly struck first and don't have to fight for the others. Great use of excess picks while keeping both firsts. Then again I probably have rose coloured glasses when it comes to Yzerman, he can do no wrong lol. Its great value for Nashville, no doubt.

Tampa had a stockpile of picks and i've always liked Lindback. Its really a good deal for both sides, Preds stock up on picks and Tampa gets that potential number one they've needed for while.
