Flames sign Ryan O'Reilly to offer-sheet

Dreger reports that the offer sheet carries an average annual value of $5 million. O'Reilly will make $1 million in base salary for 2012-13 with a signing bonus worth $2.5 million. His 2013-14 salary will be $6.5 million

Bold move by the Flames, I was hoping the Oilers would make him an offer but why try to address your teams biggest problem.

I can see the Av's matching this though its only a two year deal.

Hilarious how the situation turned out. Flames caught a huge break that the Av's matched.

For those that don't know, Had the Av's not matched, ROR would have had to clear waivers before he could go to the flames. Some other team would have picked him up and Calgary would have still lost their draft picks

I read that too. Calgary is a pretty poorly run team to say the least

God I wish Colorado wouldn't of matched.

The Flames are such a mess. Ownership needs to look in the mirror and finally realize they need to blow this team up already.
