If you mean the NHL right now it would be pretty hard not to go with Alexander Ovechkin, all around threat to score from anywhere on the ice and can always make a great pass to his teamates. Hard to argue with his 195 points in 190 total .

Ilya Kovalchuk is a very close 2nd, again like Alex he's has the skillset of a great player. He can score from anywhere he wants to and he is a constant Rocket Richard trophy threat.

Goalie:
Mikka Kiprusoff, He's is having a off year this year but he is always among the top ten is save %, shutouts, wins and goals agenst avarage. He was a major reason why the Flames did as well as they did a few years back.

Defenseman:
Nicklas Lidstrom, 867 points in just under 1,200 is insane for a defensemen with a +/- ratting of 334

I think Lars Nicklas Bäckström is the best hockey player and he played the last four games in the world cup and directly selected to the first line together with idols Henrik Zetterberg and Johan Franzén.
