I don't know if you wanted this done later, but whatever...
I would like to keep more players since I believe it would allow for more of a dynasty feel. As for the number... I'm not sure. In between the 7-10 range is fine, I'd have to look closer at the rosters and all, but yeah I think the rookie should be abolished and leave the max goalies at 2. Defensemen at 2 is fine as well.

As for categories to add, making the goalie:skater ratio closer would be a good idea so I say saves would be a good one. It's a way to gain stats from having crappy goalies as well who may face a lot of shots such as anyone on Edmonton or the Leafs.

I'll look into it more, but these are ways I see to improve for next year.

i think we should keep the number of keepers at 7
10 seems like overkill and i think the draft should play a factor in your team build rather than the draft consisting entirely of secondary options and third-line players
just my opinion

i agree the rookie pick should go
or at least be bound to 1st year eligibility rather than games played
but if we do strip it entirely, make it a 2nd D pick we have to make
i like the lone "any position" we can make

i used to be opposed to it but i think saves might be a good category for h2h.. if only because it can make things more competitive by forcing people to start goalies when they could otherwise sit their goalies all week after a hot monday and tuesday..

and having said that,
i do like the SHP category to a degree
but for the same reason we got rid of SO category in baseball, theyre infrequent enough that i think we can afford to get rid of them if only for the sake of evening up the skater/goalie stat categories (assuming we do add saves or some other alternative next year)

In a football Keeper League I'm in, we have unlimited rookie keeps. It works out well and really makes it more of a "dynasty" type feel. I think everything should stay the same except for this rule to be added, so basically 6 keepers plus as many rookies as you want to have on your team.

We do have to nail down the definition of a rookie. 60 games is kinda lame. I think it should be a full 82 games or under 2 years of NHL play. Therefore if a guy comes up for 10 games one year, 20 games the 2nd year, he's not a rookie anymore (duh). But it has to be clear.

Summary:
3 forwards
1 Defensemen
1 Goalie
1 any play
unlimited rookies

I like all of the current stat categories and don't think that should be changed.

I say stick with 7 Keepers. 10 seems like too many and will really take away from the draft. There will be no impact players left if there are 10 keepers.
Rookie category should be set up so you can pick a player up as long as they have played 1 -82 game season or less.
Either that or eliminate it all together.

My preference is:

-7 keepers
-replace the rookie keeper with another F, D, or G (still total of 7 keepers), I think 10 is too many.
-I am in favour of adding Saves for the goalie stats. As stated above, it gives a bit of a boost to good goalies who play on bad defensive teams (Vokoun anyone?). It also helps balance out the stats between forwards and goalies.
-I would prefer SOG instead of SHP, but I can live with it if we don't change it.
-I think that as consolation, the second place manager should receive fellatio from the Asian woman of his choice. The below would be acceptable:

1 - how about 9 players + rookie if you want to have 10 keepers. And for a rookie, just change it to 1 season played instead of a # of games

2 - I like the idea of adding saves for the goalies, it helps out those on **** teams that make it hard to get wins.

3 - I think gyro should also post a picture of the girl that owns the boob beside the asian.

Question about the random draft order for the bottom 4 teams....

Will it be set up similar to the NHL where the team in dead last has a greater chance at #1 pick?

I think you should post the actual %, which I'm thinking should be 35% for the bottom 2, and 15% for 3-4.

Questions:
i think id prefer the 10 keepers, with a cap on D and Goalies - but im also fine with leaving it as it is. Also there are no stats that come to mind that id like to add - or take away, it was fine the way it was this year.

Keppers:
Forwards: Jonathan Toews, Marion Gaborik, Henrik Zetterberg, Zach Parise
Defense: Chris Pronger
Goalie: Roberto Luongo
Rookie: Cody Hodgson
Extra Keeper: Jimmy Howard

::IMPORTANT NOTICE::
i am also accepting trade requests (preferably a draft pick) for anyone looking to make a move for a keeper in former Norris Trophy winner Zdeno Chara. (44 points last season, +19 with 87pims)
