My 1st NHL Fantasy Draft

Post#1 » by l2RDO » Fri Sep 28, 2007 11:33 pm

I wasnt present for my draft, so I got my players based on my pre-draft rankings (Im in an 11 team league).
Scoring is changed up a bit:
G (3), A (2), +/- (1), PIM (-0.5), PPP (1), SOG (0.4), FW (0.2), W (4), GA (-0.5), SV (0.2), SHO (6)

1. (10) Vincent Lecavalier C
2. (13) Martin St. Louis RW
3. (32) Thomas Vanek LW
4. (35) Brian Rolston RW
5. (54) Kristian Huselius LW
6. (57) Dan Boyle D
7. (76) Bryan McCabe D
8. (79) Matt Carle D
9. (98) Nikolai Khabibulin G
10. (101) Patrice Bergeron C
11. (120) Vesa Toskala G
12. (123) Christian Ehrhoff D
13. (142) Miroslav Satan RW
14. (145) Martin Erat LW
15. (164) Nicklas Backstrom C
16. (167) Roman Hamrlik D

Off the top of my head I can see that I took Brian Rolston way too high, but other than that it looks ok, but im a fantasy rookie so any advice/comments would be appreciated.

Also, apparently Dan Boyle had a freak accident where he slit his wrist tendons with a skate and will be out for like 6 weeks. Ive currently replaced him with Roman Hamrlik, do you guys think that will be ok, or should I try to find a better FA?

Thanks in advance!

Eh, kinda shaky. Goalies are no good, forwards are alright, too many D-men early. And Boyle our hurts.

Khabby has been pretty bad since he won the cup with TB. Vessy is a good 2nd goalie to have.

Hamerlik, he's an alright defenseman... not worth 6+ mill like Montreal is paying him but he's decent, not sure about him fantasy wise, especially with the Habs
