Definitely pick up Letang MAS. Also, might wanna take a look at Alex Goligoski if you need another d-man. He will be getting top PP minutes as well.

Also, if Bobby Ryan is available, I'd look at him for replacing Oulette. Ryan should have a big season this year.

I know Ryan right now is owned... i'm considering dropping Oulette and stashing Radulov on my roster... just to see what will happen with him

But i think my team is fairly well rounded for a 20 team league. Especially seeing some of the other teams... some that don't have a starting goalie :D

No starting goalies, ouch. One thing I notice now with your team is it seems like you don't have any goal scorers. All Thornton gets is assists.

You have a point, though i'm expecting Umberger to have a big season playing with Nash... but then that would mostly be assists.

With Ryan's high salary, it's uncertain whether he'll be joining the Ducks this season. If they can shed some salary...he's a good late round pickup. However, he may need to start the season in the minors.

I've been hearing he might start on the top line with Perry and Getzlaf. I just read that today actually

I've heard that elsewhere too. However, if they can't shed Schneider's salary, Ryan's 1.9 mil salary might end up in the minors. It's unlikely, but still a possibility.

Jason Arnott in the 5th round???

Damn you could have gotten easily a better player then him at that position. Arnott's average draft position on yahoo is 102.

Well it was an autodraft. If it were me drafting I probably wouldn't have done that to be honest

Let me know what you guys think about my team. This is my friend's custom league so there are a lot of positions (2C, 2LW, 2RW, 3F, 6D, 2Util, 1G, 7Bench). I know I need to drop Johnson, but it's slim pickens for defense so I'm waiting it out for now.

1. (9) Ilya Kovalchuk LW
2. (12) Joe Thornton C
3. (29) Ryan Getzlaf C
4. (32) Thomas Vanek LW
5. (49) Corey Perry RW
6. (52) Miikka Kiprusoff G
7. (69) Nikolai Zherdev RW
8. (72) Johan Franzen C
9. (89) Sheldon Souray D
10. (92) Bryan McCabe D
11. (109) Jonathan Cheechoo RW
12. (112) Scott Gomez C
13. (129) John-Michael Liles D
14. (132) Sam Gagner C
15. (149) Erik Johnson D
16. (152) Ryan Smith LW
17. (169) Jordan Staal C,LW
18. (172) Martin Havlat RW
19. (189) Kris Letang D
20. (192) Antoine Vermette LW
21. (209) Jamie Langenbrunner RW
22. (212) Marek Svatos RW
23. (229) Marc Staal D
24. (232) Marc-Andre Bergeron D
25. (249) Jose Theodore G

Jordan Staal in the 17th round is a good pick. If you need a defenseman, look for Drew Doughty or Alex Goligoski. Goligoski will give you 1-2 months of play until Gonchar gets back.

Unfortunately, I just seen that. Well, Goligoski will be a better pick up now. Will get #1 or #2 PP time. Ray Shero, best GM in the NHL.
