False.

Yep, they're last year's stats. I don't know about 100 pts for either of them. It's entirely possible I suppose, but I'd be happy with the equivalent of last year's production from both. Including Getzlaf's 120+ PIMS.

I expect 25 goals, 90 points from Getzlaf with, 120+ PIMS. 20 goals, 95 points from Backstrom with 50 PIM's.

my predictions on who has the best team.
1. bronxbombers07 - very strong forwards / solid round D and excellent G's / perfect team
2. gyro - huge power forwards
3. wreckedangular - OV + Savard = points
4. LarryBonds - solid forwards and goaltending
5. type1DIABEETUS - average forwards supported by malkin - shaky G - could be huge
6. qmclafferty82 - meh
7. OldNo7 - hinges on jonas hillers non-existent career
8. CollangeloHatesAlbinos - too many leafs/flyers - if those teams slump, albino will as well.
9. Hoser_Omega - vets team / cant go wrong with iggy/thorton combo tho
10. RoyceDa59 - keep staal and green. sell the rest.
11. MGD24 - after the first 5 years of this keeper. team might show some promise
12. JCREP44 - sucks to have last draft position / well rounded team tho

There are 7 categories for skaters, but only 5 for goalies.
Of these categories, there is only 1 skater category that a person can go backwards in: +/-
With the goalie stats, 3 of the 5 stats can go backwards if your goalie happens to get shelled: L, SV%, and GAA (and even Brodeur and Luongo get shelled from time to time).

My team was geared towards maxing out the skater categories (I'll take my chances with +/-).
As for goaltending, Pittsburgh plays 3 games per week so I'll just be aiming for L, SV%, and GAA and will be (for the most part) punting W's and Shutouts.

I have no idea why some people placed such a premium on goalies, when the stats favour skaters. If it was a roto league it would make sense, but in a H2H I don't understand it. This is not to criticize those who drafted heavy in goal early -- just that the categories didn't seem to justify it.

Just my two cents though. If we had saves as a category I would have taken another starter instead of Brent Johnson.

I agree with wreckedangle's picks. If everyone stays healthy, bronx is the one that I would least like to face.

I predict Mike's silence lasts until the day before the regular season when he yells at Dan that his team will suck all season

The best team is clearly debatable.
The best avatar is not: 1st place goes to wreckdangular hands down.
