Why does DEN downgrade talent for BB, an expensive backup center and a scrub?

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Trading a starting forward from a very good starting lineup for a backup center to the best player in the world and Bruce Brown seems like a really really bad idea.
Not crazy about this for Toronto either who needs to stop stocking up on expensive goodish players, but it really doesn't matter because Denver can't consider this.

I like the idea of changing MPJ for depth, but these lenses don't.. Maybe with the Blazers?
Nnaji+Porter for J.Grant/Thybulle..?..
Bulls? Lavine/Caruso/Craig for Porter/Nnaji/Jackson+Future FRP?

Not touching MPJ with that injury history.

Re: MPJ P Wat for Bruce Brown, Poeltl, Boucher
Last time I suggested MPJ to Dallas, I got yelled at.
But… I’m still in on the risk of his injury history. Probably more so with PJ around now..
The OP isn’t actually a legal trade though. It’s very illegal. Aggregating and all...
Unless the plan is to let KCP walk to get under the second apron. And then it might be fixable? But then it’s even worse for Denver.
And very unlikely to trade your good fitting starting SF for a backup to the best player in the league.

I understand the concern but Porter is 5 years younger than Grant and has played 81 games this year...and 62 the previous year, and playing the Playoff to the highest standards...maybe that's behind us, right?
