i think its a pretty good deal. i would change it up a bit. as a cats fan i would rather see this deal:
ATL trades: JSmoove, Anthony Johnson, Ty Lue, Zaza, Shelden
CHA trades: Emeka, Felton, McMay, Othella
I would really wanna see Josh Smith in a bobcats uniform so i wouldnt mind up giving up emeka and raymond especially cause this trade addresses a huge need for the bobcats which is depth. i would sacrifice getting acie law if it meant getting depth at the pg and pf position. hopefully u guys wont go too hard on me but i like this deal quite a bit. =)

ATL says, "DEAL! NO TAKEBACKS!"
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

Okafor is having such an off year, i wouldn't risk trading for him, and i'm not sure if he will be resigned by CHA.
I actually thought that this might have been part of the incentive.
His play may have worked him into a cheaper contract which the Hawks would benefit from.
The Bobcats will 100% resign him. It's weather or not they keep or S&T him. I personally don't think he's going any where at the end of the season and will be on our roster for some time.

i don't see the Hawks trading away Smith for a guy who deserves a cheaper contract.

Not so sure about that KB, Okafor is a dominant defender but so is Smith. He is already and inferior offensive player though and since he's over 3 years older than Smith there is no reason to think that will change. Factor in the risk of losing Oka for 15-60 games in a season and its not as open and shut as you make it seem. Felton is definitely worth more than Law, I have no doubt about that but I don't know if Cha fans feel as confident about him now as they did a year or two ago... he is shooting a good 41% which is up from last season but he is also taking fewer 3s which helps a lot, meaning he still can't finish inside, he still turns it over too much and he still isn't a prolific scorer or passer. From a value standpoint he has more worth than the unproven Law but if Charlotte were ready to pull the plug on Oka and could get Smith back in return, this might be worth it.
I probably wouldn't do it if I were Charlotte but then again I think BK thinks twice about moving Josh for a 25 center who can't collapse the D. Have you ever thought that out of his 4 years, last season (the really good one) might have been the anomolly? Its something to think about if you want to trade a budding star.

Josh Smith has such a higher ceiling that Emeka, it really isn't that close. Okafor is like most college guys in that he is overrated and Smith is truly a good player. Atlanta should try to dump Joe Johnson and build a team that is Law-Smith-Childress-Williams-Horford. Thats a solid team. You think the Suns do Barbosa/Banks/Bell/ATL1 for JJ/AJ/Wright if the Suns use their trade exceptions?
