Clippers trade:

Sam Cassel

Houston gets a legitimate veteran point guard in Sammy..

Clippers get another scorer around Kaman and Maggette.

its nice but clippers won't trade cassell's expiring contract for james' longer deal.

How about Rafer Alston + Kirk Snyder for Sam Cassell then? The Clippers get back a solid point guard with a reasonable contract, and a young, athletic SG, who could surprise if given PT.
