CHI/ORL
Trade ID #4393465
Bulls trade:
- Andres Nocioni
- Chris Duhon
Magic trade:
- Keyon Dooling
- J.J. Redick
- Pat Garrity
The Magic look to be a much improved team this season and this could help them further improve. Duhon gives them a solid backup PG who excels at taking care of the ball, playing great perimeter defense and setting up his teammates. At the very least, he's expiring. Nocioni provides the Magic with a great option off the bench similar to Lewis and Turkoglu as a 3/4 type of guy who can shoot and rebound the ball well.
1. Nelson, Duhon, Arroyo
2. Bogans, Evans
3. Lewis, Nocioni
4. Turkoglu, Cook, Gortat, Augustine
5. Howard, Battie, Foyle
The Bulls accomplish a few things with this: cut salary (to ensure we retain Gordon/Deng), clear PT for the young guys in the front court and get some help in the back court. Dooling is a nice offensive player who can get into the lane and make things happen. He either takes Duhon's starting spot or fills the role of instant offense off the bench. Redick would fit in well as a shooting guard here due to how our shooting guard position is typically used (either working off screen for open shots or spreading the floor for the pick and roll/post up). Garrity wouldn't be used but is expiring filler.
This clears room for Thabo at the 3 and Noah/Thomas at the 4.
1. Hinrich, Gordon
2. Dooling, Redick, Griffin
3. Deng, Sefolosha, Khryapa
4. Smith, Thomas, Garrity
5. Wallace, Noah, Gray

OF course we're not this desperate and Paxson would never make the deal in reality, but we'd end up a better team because of it.
Cliff Levingston takes it that the Magic would probably be willing to throw in Fran Vazquez and/or a first round pick this year?
