Is Giddey’s value low enough that THJ, 2025 first with… Prosper, 2nds, 2026 swap gets it done?

Back to opening the MLE for Dallas. And Giddey is the bench offensive playmaker (even if you call him a starter).. Dallas hopes that Lively/Giddey develop while Kai is still a top “20” type player..

I feel like that’s a terrible deal for OKC, but can’t tell if I’m off with how he’s viewed here..seems like most have given up on him, but I see a 21 year old that could put on 10-20 pounds and impact games..

If thats not enough like I think.. do you add a protected 2031 first? How protected can it be since there’s no roll over option? Can it be protected enough that Dallas trades the other side as an asset some time later/future years? Way top 16 protected? Then Dallas can trade it top 1-“3” and 17-… etc..?

Oh well.

Giddey seems like a bad fit with Luka and Kyrie.

With either of them? Na, think it’s fine.

With both? Yeah probably not ideal.

That is why he’d be the bench playmaker and hopefully develop as Kyrie declines..

Does Atlanta decide to keep both Trae/Murray and get an upgrade by using the #1 pick?

I think they're a really clean fit for sarr. Trade capela (finally)

Ya this opens up using Capela as salary filler

Brooklyn lol a lot better with those Phoenix picks still?

Meh. But great for Atlanta. They deserve a chance to reset IMHO.

Good for Toronto to get the pick debt done and move on.

I could see them just keeping Dejounte and building around the edges by sending out Bogdan, Capela and Hunter

I am slightly less bitter at conveying the 8th pick instead of the 7th

I would still prefer the Phoenix picks.

Can’t control the lottery and this year’s draft is even worse than advertised.

Next year’s team performance will determine that though.

So it's ...

Hawks - Sarr
Wizards - Risacher
Rockets - Sheppard
Spurs - Castle, Topic or Dillingham

... right?

If I had a cookie for each time someone told me the Nets pick was going to stay where it was, I would be in a diabetic comma.

Could see the rockets going high ceilings swing on topic maybe but I love Sheppard for them and think Sarr and Risacher could flip (I'm not a big fan of what I've seen of Risacher but seems teams are)

Also think the rockets are going to be aggressive about trading the pick. Something around 3 (as the headline piece of a bigger deal) for Mitchell?

I agree they’re going to be aggressive with it.

I don’t think the #3 pick in this year’s draft is the headliner of anything.

I said in another thread I wouldn’t trade Mikal for #1.

Maybe that’s a Bridges too far but I stand by it.

I keep seeing this. Do the Hawks not already have 2 defensive bigs that can't score in 00 and Capela? Did they they trade them and I missed it? Why exactly do they need a 3rd one.....

I think they take Risacher-his shooting can help spread things out for whichever of DJM/Trae they decide to keep.

The Wizards OTOH should be all over Sarr. That seems like a perfect match.

Rockets should package that pick along with some of their youth and get a superstar.

Highly doubt it, I'm pretty sure they feel Sheppard is a near generational prospect and an excellent fit with Amen Thompson.

Yeah and in reality... the blockbuster type deals haven't developed until later in off-season recently, not draft night. Most teams keep top 10 picks unless they're moving up or down in the draft

Jazz will probably offer #10 and Walker Kessler for #1 and taking on one of Atlanta's bad contracts.

Could imagine Atlanta saying yes to that.
