Isn't Adams out for the season?

Yep. They’re investing in the locker room and next year.

Just FYI, I believe the 100+ page glitch that used to happen on here has been resolved. So it's not necessary to close threads approaching 100 pages, doesn't mean you can't for tradition but just thought I'd say it in case it wasn't known.

I obviously love Adams so I'm kind of pissed he's going to Houston but I don't really like the fit with guys like Sengun/Eason/Amen.

Absolutely love this move for Houston. Pretty envious atm.

A 7 footer with multiple leg injuries sounds like a recipe for disappointment.

I bet if VO survives the trade deadline, we waive him and sign GG off his 2-way

That is rough. I feel like these days you'd almost prefer a torn ligament and its lengthier recovery time than a meniscus tear. That does not grow back, that is just pain management after a certain point. I hope it's small and maybe they won't opt to trim.

I still remember Brandon saying his knees when he was playing were just clicking. Bone on bone grinding, just.. clicking whenever he would move. (to be fair he had like four meniscus tears at minimum, but the meniscus tear injury still haunts me for anyone who goes through it).

Yeah worst thing here would be to remove the thing, definitely needs to get repaired given the history of that.

Pisses me off how disposable so many fans treat these guys. All this talk about awards or ducking Joker or load management. Sometimes guys are really hurt. We did this to Ben Simmons and so many people still refuse to walk that back. None of them will walk about their crap on Joel either.

Ugh. This is just bad for the league. Doesn’t even matter if you love Embiid or not, just a bad thing to see stars go down.

Oh boy. How good does he look!
Wanted the Kings to draft him bad. Didn't realize the shot was that good.

Personally don’t think he cares about minutes and he’s going be around MLE max going forward so they will be able squeeze him his 15-25 mins time to time.

But if they want remove the logjam abit , OKC would be happy to make a move for Eason or Jabari.

Edit - to be clear Houston should keep their front court . There’s no guarantee Adams will be ready by season start and that there’s no minutes at SF for Jabari / Eason / Amen.

He has more than earned a real contract. It'll be interesting to see how he develops. He seems to have matured a good bit after the SC stuff which is huge.

A source told The Post the Nets rejected an offer of two first-rounders for Finney-Smith, reportedly coveted by not just the Lakers but also by the Mavericks, Bucks, Thunder, Suns and Kings. O’Neale could fetch a first-round pick, and has also been linked to the Mavericks, Nuggets, Pacers, Bucks, Timberwolves, Suns and Kings.

Unless they are non-first rounders (like top 20 protected by a team unlikely to convey), call me skeptical that the Nets are both getting 2 1st rounders offers AND turning them down

Mark me down as skeptical on this one

The devil is in the details that we don’t know about. Protections? Draft year? Bad salary attached?

Dream scenario for the Nets would be a bidding war between OKC and Sacramento for DFS, and the a consolation prize bidding war between Sacramento and Dallas for Royce.

I would honestly love to keep DFS, but I think someone will overpay for him.

From the Hardwood Knocks podcast w/ Smitty…

"(OKC should get) a 4/5 that can play w Chet & back him up. John Collins is shooting the ball well again, playing the 5 almost exclusively for Utah. You can go get Collins for relatively easy; Bertans & a pick or 2 to Danny Ainge. Whether as a starter or high minutes backup.”

That would certainly surprise me based on discussions on this board.

My only take here is that if Micic is in the deal I bet Hardy finds the right setup to make him into a decent NBA player.
