Cool. So we won't have to deal with deals swapping them off for eachother, like we had to do with all of the stupid Andre Miller to Miami deals :D

That sounds like a plan to me.

remember my reasoning on the wallace + bulls' #1 (no protection) for shaq

1. Wallace plays every nite-he's still very good on D (of course, way overpaid, but so is today's shaq-maybe more so)

2. His deal is descending, the difference in year 3 is $6 million

3. Miami rolls the dice with the bull's pick-it might fall in the lottery

The Bulls aren't the Knicks. They're not sending us an unprotected pick for Shaq.

Nene and Wade make more sense together than Curry, and the Heat also receive some quality youth.

Camby would become the PF/C, and Davis would be a quality starting SG.

LMAO. Denver gets raped and you want them to include a first on top of it?

Although I would pay to see Shaq try and play for the Nuggets in Denver. I doubt he'd be able to play more than the 10 mpg Eddy Curry averages every time he plays in Denver.

what time in their right mind would be dumb enough to trade for shaq, he has no value, hes over the hill and doesnt command a double team, he would also have to be paid 20 million a year for three years when he will probably only play 100 games combined and maybe only 20 good ones

Shaq played his best games this year running the court against Phoenix. He doesn't have stamina issues like Curry.

I don't mean to pull a bait-and-switch on MIA fans, but I have an alternate NJ deal.

O'Neal, Johnson and Anthony for Collins, Magloire, Nachbar, Krstic, Wright, an '08 1st and a '09 2nd (Trade ID #4389487)

Nets fans on the team forum expressed some hesitation about giving RJ, so I wondered if this would be more palatable for both sides.

Bleh. You can keep Krstic. He doesn't really have any value to us, and he's not someone I'd want to extend and or be on the Heat in the future. You guys don't have anyone that you could S&T for a 1 year deal? Cause I don't think we'd want to keep anyone other than Nachbar that we're getting in that trade. Without one of the Big 3, I don't think the Nets have enough salary filler to realistically get Shaq.

shaq has value, I believe more than BWallace (although wallace will give you more games for the next 3 years)

The bulls don't need another pick, they could use half-shaq. He will score down low, is a good passer and will sit out games so our young bigs get more minutes. I thought of making it Noc instead of the pick, but thought miami would prefer the pick

We would, but I still don't see the Bulls trading an unprotected pick for Shaq. We'd do it IMO, don't get me wrong, but that's just because that would probably work out very badly for Chicago.

it could flash, but it is worth the risk. The pick will probably be in the teens-bulls are coming on. for us, the risks are that we suck and the pick is very high and that shaq is done. I don't believe either are true and shaq would help us.

put it this way, detroit and boston would not like us to do this deal

I don't see a pick in the teens as appropriate compensation for Shaq. I personally wouldn't go near the Bulls deal as is...

I don't do that last one for Miami. We take on way too much longterm salary.

Diop is expiring
Rahim and Moore expire when shaq would have
Terry is 4 years but worth his contract

Potential Lineup would be:

Terry - Jwill - Quinn
Wade - Cook
Wright - Davis
UD - Rahim - AJ
Diop - Blount - Barron - Moore

Then you could look to Deal Jwill's expiring and other parts to upgrade SF.

I really don't think Terry is worth his 4 and a half year, large contract. We'd be paying him well into his 30s. That's not a god rebuilding plan IMO. We'd be better off keeping Shaq instead of trading him for longer deals.

MAvs are not going to trade both centers for shaq. Shaq does need a backup at his current age and ability and state of woundedness. One or the other. Diop makes the most sense for Miami, Damp makes the trade work better with salary

I've always thought Jason Terry would be a great fit next to Wade, though his salary could certainly be a concern for the Heat. I'd think Terry, KVH, Diop, and a 2008 1st for Shaq and Davis might be a workable deal.

He's definitely a great fit. But I just don't like his contract. I like that deal a lot though without Terry+Ricky.

Me too.

We can't afford Terry. If we're dealing Shaq, it's to rebuild. He doesn't fit that...
